Take note this last 12 months with ON OFF ON OFF and uncertainty has destroyed my business - traded successfully for 15 years and now I face bankruptcy, it's not that I'm selfish... it's if I had managed my business like this Govt has this pandemic I would of be ruined in months - this not a political statement - just a fact.

Take note - the relaxation of restrictions over Christmas (after reintroduction of lockdowns after summer due to people not following rules) and people not following the guidleines probably caused the death of my mother in February. It's not that I'm selfish but I do wish people had taken more responsibility for their behaviour so I would still have my mother.

To get things back to normal we have to get this virus under control and avoid dangerous mutations. Look at the mess Brazil is in, so am glad our Government is now starting to take this more seriously so to get us all safe again.

How would you have handled the pandemic. Every densely populated countries had same problems. We as the UK did as good as we could. UK is 4 country's - so when people slam the government over 140,000 deaths biggest in Europe - it is not. England has had 87,000 plus deaths, so England are not the worst in Europe. Many people in business blame the virus for their business failing. Was it already.

We don't need to do this when we all go to the supermarket, so why do we need to do this for the pub?

Ridiculous.
Do we really have to explain this to a dismal sub-set of the human race *again*?
When you go to the supermarket you are not remaining close to the same people for a prolonged period of time. You are masked, you are hopefully distanced the vast majority of time and even when you're closer than 2m it's only transitory- the risk of passing on infection is far, far less than when you're in a pub.

Everyone there will be carrying a device in their pocket that will make them 100% traceable but they have a problem with signing in. Give your heads a wobble and stop complaining about every little thing that makes your life an iota less convenient.

Honestly do not understand why anyone has an issue with this? If it means I can have a proper pint I’m fine with this! I’m confused as to why others do not understand that until 80%+ of the population have been vaccinated we need to take precautions.

Giving your contact details if there’s a chance of infection will be normality for at least 12 months, accept it and enjoy your pint!

I'm confused as to why you think signing into a pub means that. Actually, I'm not. You created your HYS account two months ago and have spouted bile ever since.

I'll be glad to never meet you in a pub, or anywhere else.
I was signing into pubs at the end of autumn, the staff would take your cash or card payment at the table and everything worked fine. It stopped the problem of people getting served before you at the bar + if you fancied the staff serving you, you now get to see them from head to toe.

Many a time in the past I've fancied a barmaid to find out much later than necessary, that they had size 15 feet

If you really want to be sure no one can trace your presence at a pub, don’t forget to pay in cash only and wear a baseball cap / hoodie when at the bar. They usually have CCTV cameras there, and probably at the door too.
