MMA is a sport with many former Olympic athletes and world champions from other disciplines. Many of the competitors are also university graduates (e.g. Rich Franklin who was a maths teacher), they compete in a sport with stringent rules and regulations. Not common attributes associated with thuggery

Its pleasing to see a comments section which actually contains sensible (except 1) input.
No cursing or belittling others and just on the topic conversation.
Well done to all who have taken part.

Beating on one another until near death isn't mere entertainment the entertainment we get is a byproduct of the risk to life. Even Rugby players don't risk their lives to this extent.

Tough act to follow, as Khabib may well be the GOAT, but like what I've seen so far. Great to see MMA/UFC growing a stronger UK following. I've been a fan since GSP and am in awe at the technical ability of these men & women!

This is just legal thuggery. Although I'd be happy to see a few Man U fans go into the ring with him.

MMA is a sport with many former Olympic athletes and world champions from other disciplines. Many of the competitors are also university graduates (e.g. Rich Franklin who was a maths teacher), they compete in a sport with stringent rules and regulations. Not common attributes associated with thuggery
