I think what the quitlings fail to grasp is the EU sets MINIMUM standards, but member countries can use their sovereignty (see what I did there!) to set higher standards of their own accord, as the UK has previously done.

If we continue to retain higher standards that’s fair enough. We should not be in a position where our laws are amended to legalise dropping below those minimum standards.
That word "should"..... only has impact if a majority of us vote the Berxits out of power ASAP. Never vote Tory Removed

The driver here is populism - a sickness that can literally destroy any society. Fleet St has been riding the beast for years, and then the Tories jumped onto it's back too in 2016.
Historically, such movements have terrible outcomes, and those who think they can steer the beast they ride are deluded.
Won't be a 'UK' for much longer.

Brexit means Scottish independence, Irish unification, the Balkanisation of England and Wales, a border in Kent, Gibraltar in Schengen, ex-pats repatriated, and the Norman south becoming the North Korea of the North Atlantic. Tabloid-indoctrinated boomer-babies might be happy living in an insular & isolated nuclear armed monarchy, the rest of us, not so much.

Worth noting even the TUC are not claiming that UK workers' rights are being denied as yet, merely that we 'risk falling behind' in relation to promised legislation.
If the Labour movement have a problem with that, if they want to introduce 'gold plated' workers' rights, far better than anything available in the EU27, all they have to do is win themselves a Govt majority.
It's called democracy.

Don’t forget uk nurses get a large annual incremental rise before the 1% is applied unless they are on top of their scale

TUC members and their own workers rights, treating people equitability?

Look no further than the General Secretary of a Trade Union, their pay/benefit/allowances compared to their own employees.

This is a TUC report. Would you expect them to say anything different? Next!

People tend to miss the point. Workers rights and everything else are now down to our own democratically elected government. If we do not like it, at least we now have real power to do something about it, we can vote them out and others in. We are no longer helpless subjects of the will of the EU.
We cannot vote out the EU leaders.

I’m sure Johnson will soon commission an “Independent” report which will conclude all is wonderful in the ex UK.
Most gammons don’t want “rights” for other people, but boy do they feel entitled to rights aplenty.

Try and put up a small garden building “overlooking” a gammony neighbour’s residence and you’ll see what I mean.

Funnily enough if you were to erect a garden building overlooking a Remoan -t*rd property, just see the frothing at the gills and wailing from the other side, they'll have Nigel and Cressida around protesting with their sweeeet little placards etc

Great sport..

Left supporters fail to acknowledge the superior maternity benefits enjoyed by UK workers over their EU rivals..

Funny that.
