#Eurish..."This is what Boris wanted...Singapore on Thames"...Yes,while completely ignoring the fact that 33% of Singapore's population are immigrants who drive the economy.
Where will the Tories find the workers for their Singapore on Thames?,maybe they'll need to introduce something like freedom of movement for certain countries!

This article should really read "The E.U. risks falling behind the rest of the World". I don't know where the BBC gets its journalism from but it's definitely not current.

but it was said they didn't have a plan, though
Brexiteers said it was project fear. Pathological liars.

UK helped drive the EU's progress , more like
They are our laws, proposed and mandated by us.
Why can't we have an HYS on the Independent Commission report that debunks completely the politicisation and weaponisation of race by the woke Left wing and their Marxist identity nonsense? Apparently the BBC prefers to fan the flames of BREXIT amongst left wing conspiracy theorists with a non story from a marginal organisation.

You can`t whack a good Brexit story on the BBC, its the perfect opportunity to grab a nice cup of char and scroll through the UK hating liberal lefty diatribe, the M25 champagne socialists really have not got over the fact the majority of British people rejected the idea of the EU superstrate, I love it.

Glad your enjoying it, now tell me why is Brexit a good thing apart from "majority of British people rejected the idea of the EU superstrate"
Because it still hasn't happened and all the bad stuff that was predicted is happening.

Remember Johnson, arms aloft, celebrating his 11th-hour, no-trade trade deal with the EU?
Well Project Reality will hit him full in his smug face soon.
Brexit is an act of self-mutilation whose deep wounds will hurt all of us as much as Johnson’s failures to prepare for the coronavirus disaster. Removed

Boris Johnson is clearly in denial about Farage's racist poster that won the referendum for him.

hold on - you missed off "...running-dog capitalist lackies". Never gonna get your Trotskyite/Maoist badge with such half-hearted insults as that!
I think what the quitlings fail to grasp is the EU sets MINIMUM standards, but member countries can use their sovereignty (see what I did there!) to set higher standards of their own accord, as the UK has previously done.
If we continue to retain higher standards that’s fair enough. We should not be in a position where our laws are amended to legalise dropping below those minimum standards.

This country will never thrive whilst the Tories are in control of the populist press, they simply feed what the masses want to hear and the masses devour it like starving piranhas.
Removed
The driver here is populism - a sickness that can literally destroy any society. Fleet St has been riding the beast for years, and then the Tories jumped onto it's back too in 2016.
Historically, such movements have terrible outcomes, and those who think they can steer the beast they ride are deluded.

Won't be a 'UK' for much longer.
Brexit means Scottish independence, Irish unification, the Balkanisation of England and Wales, a border in Kent, Gibraltar in Schengen, ex-pats repatriated, and the Norman south becoming the North Korea of the North Atlantic. Tabloid-indoctrinated boomer-babies might be happy living in an insular & isolated nuclear armed monarchy, the rest of us, not so much. Removed

More likely see UK decline in economic power as ordinary citizens bear the brunt of that decline & the wealthy, including global wealth of dubious provenance, continue to be unjustifiably favoured. There will be more frequent incidents of public disorder and more of us will be angry more of the time.

Worth noting even the TUC are not claiming that UK workers' rights are being denied as yet, merely that we 'risk falling behind' in relation to promised legislation.
If the Labour movement have a problem with that, if they want to introduce 'gold plated' workers' rights, far better than anything available in the EU27, all they have to do is win themselves a Govt majority.
It's called democracy.

Our laws may have been made in Westminster, and I quote 'According to the precedence principle, European law is superior to the national laws of Member States. Anyone remember NF in front of a poster showing "migrants" queueing to invade britain - thats why most brexit voters voted for really but wont admit it (it was actually Syrian refugees fleeing a warzone, the irony is heartbreaking) not working conditions!
Brexit is just a tax-dodgers and money launderers charter so NF's millionaires mates can get even wealthier.

How much integrity does it take to lie to the Queen about proroguing parliament? Courage maybe

Well, I'm a lefty and I have buckets of:

I'm not impressed thus far, as I have to say.
Much room for improvement .. to use "lefty language".

What the EU does now is none of our business or concern especially as the UK has had better workers rights than the EU for decades. Its the EU needs to catch up not the UK.

Usual woke stuff from London Bubble Left,
'RISKS falling behind',
also in another similar BBC headline,
'COULD lead to UK brain drain'.
Would have preferred to remain, but history now & no Party offering a way back.
But this doesn't stop the BBC continuing to sow it's own political agenda & pro EU stance.
Shame it isn't impartial any more & gone in for social manipulation / engineering.

UK workers fall behind, yep more like shirkers, I employed people in Portugal Spain Brazil, and over the years many In my UK businesses, only once did I have to attend employment tribunal in Portugal brought by a English employee, in UK factored into employment cost tribunals most wanted payoff, I never lost a case wasters.

More important though, is what is the tax on that maximum wage going into the Exchequer ? Prefer 50% of £343m than 50% of £8.75m tbh
you utter moron as no one earning £343M is ever going to be paying any taxes they employ overseas accounts, accountants and make sure they give large donations to bozo for his decorating of 10 downing street. that's why people earning billions pay less tax then their cleaners earning minimum wage

Putin supported Brexit because he knew it undermined the EU and left Germany even more at his mercy!!!
Germany is beholden to Russia for its energy.
Eu is beholden to Germany for its contributions.
Don’t let economic facts stop your social media conspiracies.

that’s why they have trolls all over social media playing both sides.

Actually it is rather easier to get rid of the very rich than it is to eliminate domestic poverty. As soon as any attempt to get the very wealthy to pay something approaching an equitable share they will be off elsewhere. The poor will never leave.
