M&S, Asda and Thorntons are among those seeing a big rise in eggs sales ahead of the Easter weekend.

Now would be a good time to examine the racist terminology endemic in the Easter Egg culture. Using ‘dark’ and ‘black magic’ alongside ‘white’ chocolate to segregate eggs only further divides our society. The colonial racial undertones are evident throughout the chocolate culture and is deeply offensive. I’m proposing a demonstration to subject guilty laden white eggs to a mass meltdown.

Do... do you need a hug?
Grow up.
I would hope you are joking....but with today's lefty snowflakes finding offence with everything, wouldn't surprise me if you meant it.....
Haven't you got a bridge to be chased round?

It appears many people on here don't have a sense of humor. *sigh*
Mungo Park - LOL - I've now got brown coffee spills all over my white tee shirt and black trousers due to laughing so hard. Maybe we should segregate my clothes as their colours may offend someone! And where's my white coffee beans, they must be under a spell! - Offended by an Easter egg based on its colour, really Mungo?!! Time to Cancel Cancel Culture, we've reached extreme levels of stupidty
I also get offended by:
The overtly feminine shape of easter eggs
The cost to the environment of the packaging and ingredients
The joy they provide to children/the sorrow to children in poverty
Their religious connotations

I am a chocolate oviod wrapped in foil but am deeply offended you automatically assume I'm happy to be referred to as an 'egg'.
I identify as a non-angular chocolate bar and expect to be referred to as such, my preferred pronoun is 'chocx'.

Hmm, didn't take long for the racists to appear and start upvoting this "joke" I see.
All eggs materia.
Agreed.
Not really magic is it?
Now I'm no economist or analyst, but I bet my left back upper tooth that they'll be a LOT of other products that have a marked increase this year compared to 2021...
A LOT...
Perhaps the BBC could send me an application and make me their senior economist?

I think I'm going to hide indoors for a bit longer despite the nice weather, at least until Autumn!

They have been locked up for ages. I'm all for them having fun. But those kids are C&^%!
I always console myself that those that behave like that are needed by society as cannon fodder from time to time. Too stupid for their own good.

Easter egg sales, a topic Beeb HYS hoped would not ruffle feathers (feathers egg - ha! ha!) quiet day for the moderator but contributors will always try find a way to bring it round to their agenda / hobby horse. Breggsit - Hows about that then? To quote Sir Jams, knight of the realm, friend of the Pope and stalwart of Beeb. Guys and Gals, Lads and Lassies - who'd like to jangle me jewelry?
