Most ridiculous red card of the tournament. Poor tackle technique and not one Frenchman even thought penalty, let alone foul play!

Russell had a fine game up to that point. Nothing flashy but controlled. Watson immense again.

Most of the reds this tournament would not have been penalties twenty years ago but if rugby is to survive as a sport it has to reduce contact to the head. Players have to change their technique to tackle lower and if an upright tackle risks a red card they have a strong incentive to change.

Well, that brightened up my Friday night, bravo to Scotland for giving their all.

How wasn't it a penalty try for France's second and a yellow card?

Fikou should be talked about more than Dupont, great player.

Also, can Andrew Cotter and the French commentator be used for more matches?

And, well done to Wales.

Thought Scotland could lose the plot after the 30th minute, but held on.

Great display against the darlings of this 6 nations.

Thought the red was harsh, looked like the initial contact was elbow to shoulder.

Well done Wales, and Hogg's "hacked off" comments totally vindicated.

Great comment..! Yes, us Welsh supporters are grateful, but the Scottish team did it for THEMSELVES. And you are so right about Hoggie being hacked off, the media just talking about France/ Wales in the lead up to the game, very disrespectful. Dulin went from hero to zero, and 'the darlings' as you so rightly put it, got their come uppance from a great Scottish effort. Congrats !!!
27/03/2021 14:22:04 0 0

I'm pretty sure the initial contact was with the hand, properly attempting a legal hand-off, but in too confined a space so in further contact ended up with the forearm. Billy V and others deliberate forearm charges are something else and the red was harsh.
Well done, Scotland. Rugby powerhouse in making. Destined to dominate decades of 6N tournaments and world cups.

How exactly did the Englishman try to ruin the game ? Maybe by allowing your SAfrican a flagrant double movement (as the two Scots in the studio pointed out) for the first Scottish try? Wind your neck in feller. Two monkeys off your back with a combined age of 60 by a combined margin of nine points does not put a Scottish mitt on the RWC 2023 just yet.

I can't understand all the thumbs down this blog has attracted. As Welshman no one is happier than me that the Scots won. But....A very dodgy try awarded to them and as stated France could have kicked the ball out at the end to have won the match. I wonder what these comments would have been like if either one of those had gone against Scotland and they had lost. Another false dawn?

That's not the point, they broke Covid rules, so should have been made to play a few reserves..!
Scotland had to play without key players tonight instead, totally unfair. And as for their coach Galthie..he's the worst of the lot. He was instrumental in getting the original game postponed, then accused the Wales players of gamesmanship, the bloke is an absolute tool. Eddie Jones has nothing on him!

Their coach went to a party halfway through, hugged and kissed everyone... some players also broke out of the bubble for a 'relaxing evening'.
Nobody 'intends' to get sick, but the other teams kept to their bubbles and behaved professionally. France didn't.

On a separate note I wonder how many times the Welsh football team have been European champions, no wonder football is such a third rate sport compared to rugby in Wales
