Covid jab: One dose in care homes gives 'substantial' protection
29/03/2021 | news | health | 1,299
A study suggests 62% of residents are protected by a single dose of the vaccines used in the UK.
Last year we set out to avoid the creaking NHS collapsing under the strain.

Even more proof now that the 'death pool' has been made safe from hospitalisation, so no more excuses for a full and immediate opening of society.

Great plan, give the over 50s the jab and then see if you can infect them before the immune response kicks in to pack the hospitals again

My advice to the gov't is to keep certain sections of the population (those that contribute the least to economic activity!!) in a permanent state of lockdown!!

There will be obvious benefits to public health, the environment, crime and public order with little impact on our economic recovery!!!

And it will allow the rest of us to go about rebuilding the country in peace!!!
SO

Boris is going to get a 'Hair Cut'.

Alert the Media !!

No. He’s going for a pint before a haircut.
Did you not see
.
I see so much confusion in people's interpretation of lockdown.

Here's the sequence
1. Catch covid
2. Get sick
3. Get very sick and go to hospital
4. Die

Lockdown aims to prevent 3 and 4 by preventing 1. But the vaccines stop it at 2, so we no longer need to use lockdown to prevent 1.

Sorry folks, but it's the end of the line for the lockdown loonies.

The flaw in your argument is that if you are relying on vaccines we need some form of control until everyone has had two doses (probably Autumn).
People who cannot understand the situation are a bigger threat than lockdown loonies.

When the whole world has been vaccinated maybe, but mutations will cause variants that will bypass the immunity gained by these vaccines until every country has enough people vaccinated. The UK has a tiny fraction of people fully vaccinated so far, we will need to continue to take other precautions to remain safe, it is going to take time.

Not actually accurate, most do not even get sick let alone die.

"But why would anyone care if they've been vaccinated ?
Over 30,000,000 including the most vulnerable in society now vaccinated."

Meaning 6 million are expected to be able to absorb CV19 vaccine and transmit, thus encouraging viral mutation, whilst thinking they are safe from transmission to others because they had the jab.

They probably won't be working in care homes much longer.
They won't ever be able to recruit in care homes. Who in their right mind who is healthy and fit, would take an experimental, gene changing, virus manufacturing vaccine for a condition that has a 99.97% recovery rate, even faster recovery than flu. Removed

It ought to be self evident!
"Did Tony Blair come up with championing this move in his prison cell....."
No, he has never seen the inside of a prison cell as an occupant.
"as he is a war criminal after all" He's never been convicted of same.
I'm no fan of Blair but your post has nothing that is germane to the issue at hand, is factually inaccurate, and is clearly driven by political bias.
