Nothing more English than a batting collapse. This exactly shows why we need Joe Root in the ODI line-up. England were MILES ahead in the run rate when the first wicket fell, so why go crazy on your shots?! Just let the runs tick over steadily, stop being rash with your shots.
Face it, this English team is no good if they keep losing to an average Indian side like this. Removed

Even with Bumrah and Shami out, India would beat most teams if not all teams at home at the minimum, maybe even on the road.

England will continue to lose if you think this is an average Indian team. Rest assured.

Well played India, didn't give up and fought back impressively to win after a fantastic opening partnership from Bairstow and Roy.
Bairstow slogged but slogging rarely lasts. Ask Jos Butler today. Removed

Woakes? Seriously, Woakes could have done what the rest of this could not?

Stop daydreaming. Barring Stokes, the rest of the team is below average.

Morgan is not telling the truth. The bowlers were not outstanding today.

The Kohli factor is awesome! He complains about the umpires making decisions when there is technology available! Works for India, not so for England. Similar call with both clipping the outside of the leg Stump! Seems to work in India with Indian umpires! If we have such technology then why bother with umpires as everything can be referred to the technology. Ask King Kohli what he thinks! Removed

"That is what is called snatching defeat from the jaws of victory!"
"England still contrived to lose!"
"Staggering how they manage to implode like this as we saw in the last match too!"

If something keeps happening as you acknowledged yourself, you can't call that a surprise. If anything, the past is a harbinger of the future.
Only Indians use the term harbinger or mass effect characters. Weirdos Removed

I know they have home advantage but it's only India, shouldn't be collapsing to such a mediocre attack.

pity India did not show up like this in that world cu p game back in 2019. But there again this time there was no need to throw the game as the result would not put Pakistan out Removed

What a joke that Pakistan cannot qualify for the knockout stages of the ICC tournament on their own merit and have to depend on others to do them a favour..

"Could it be arrogance from England?"
You can say many things about this English team but arrogance is not a word that comes to mind (more appropriately reserved for India and Kolhi).

This English team has no confidence. They simply do not have any self belief
Of course they have self belief, you deluded hag. Removed

Absolutely! Even as an India fan, I have to say the collapse and idiocy by England was baffling. 135-0 after 15 overs and you somehow contrive to do that. Unfortunately you've got a long way to go if you are to match some of Pakistan's famous collapses (mostly fielding) or India's poor selection. Thank god they didn't have Yuzvendra Chahal today! He would have probably given England 3 lifelines!

I just hope Root is reinstated for the 20/20 WC given his ability to play spin. He’ll anchor our innings batting at 3, more than capable of comfortably exceeding 1 a ball whilst we have strikers at he other end. Malan has done well, but not in the same class as Root.
