This week's event sees the world's best players competing head-to-head in an event that will inspire hundreds of thousands of amateurs looking forward to a return to playing next week, writes Iain Carter.
What truly beggars belief is how in a time when so many have lost lives, loved ones, livelihoods and homes 'one' feels not having been able to play golf warrants a moan. Enjoy your new £400 toy though. Such disposable income could not have been used any more wisely or generously in current circumstances I'm sure. Have fun on the course. You deserve it.
I don't play these days due to injury but I'm pretty sure that getting out for any kind of exercise these days would be enormously beneficial for peoples physical and mental health. That can only be a good thing surely? I can't quite work out if you're rabidly anti-golf, anti going outside or just anti someone having a spare £400. Whichever one it is you come across as a bit of a knob
