Where are stalled England going wrong?

Slow starts. Record points conceded. A sky-high penalty count. How England's Six Nations campaign fell short on multiple fronts.

It’s the players or the coach or a bit of both. I suggest the coach. England are NOT “in transition”. Most were at RWC 2019 and will be available for the next one. They have not become bad: they are not playing well because the coach is ruining them. Time to go, EJ. I certainly won’t miss your nastiness and bullying of female interviewers.

Simple. Sack the squirmy little T##t and get a decent manager. Oh and model yourself on the mighty Wales. Cymru am Byth.

Other nations play with a burning passion that England lack. Too one dimensional and a lack of leadership both on and off the field. Jones has to go and take with him his favoured players. Most of the Saracens players who let down their club, have also let down their country.
You obviously have no idea what you are talking about! The players didn't let down the club you tool! Removed

To claim on Saturday that he was proud of the “fight” of his players and then to admit that they “fell off” shows a contempt for reality that would get him a job in Downing Street
Your right he was probably stupid enough to vote for brexit Removed
Oh to be as clever as Remainers think they are. But then you would have to know something about trade so you wouldn't be Remainer. Removed

You’re the one that’s stupid enough by bringing out of date, zero relevance politics into our wonderful sport of rugby.

Not sure your trade argument stands up as UK exports haven fallen by up to 80% recently. Welcome to the Brexit as they say.

"If he were the coach of Wales, he wouldn’t have been allowed by his paymasters or the people to select the squad that he chose." - Correct, because they were all English.
Idiot. Removed
Not really about the Coach. The players dont want success as much as their oppos in other countries. Rather, they see themselves as inherently better. Essentially they are spoilt middle class boys feted by an English Press who confuse pedigree with talent and passion. Removed

Jones failing to deal with Tuilagi being side-lined is the biggest disappointment. A brilliant coach should be able to deal with it. Adjust, adapt, modify, and survive! England has instead looked rudderless. The golden days of circa 2003 look like 100 years ago, and I am CERTAIN many England fans will continue to bring it up, heck, even have a screen name honouring said day, month and year. Sad!
Here we go. The village idiots have woken up and found the internet. Removed

Ah English arrogance is the problem is it? So if we change the squad that 'arrogance will go away and eell be much better?
Eddie has the right accent - good start - can't he just grow a beard, wear some thick-rimmed glasses, pick-up a paint brush and randomly exclaim - "ooohhhhhhhhh - tied a sheila to be woolypack and fell into the bilabing - hahahahaa, owwwwwww, can you guess what it is yet? That's right, it's the ludicrous team sheet for today's game against Ireland. 'Off to the bilabong, tie me kangaroo down.... Removed

I’ve just watched the Genge / Sexton incident on the Irish line (elbow to face several times). Filthy by G. How that wasn’t a red or cited I don’t know.
Tough aggressive players are a must but it seems consistently out of order.

During Ireland game, England won a free kick for a scrum infringement just outside their 22 with the clock against them. They opted for a scrum, thus wasting time with a couple of resets and then have away a penalty. Laughable game management!

Total rebranding required.... the England ruby image needs softening... when making their way onto the pitch the team should be doing the sailor's hornpipe dance to accompanying music. The ABE brigade would be converted in a heartbeat and Englands problems would be over. They would then be accepted as good old sorts.

Another depressing season for England. The same faces and the same underperformance and it's all down to selection. Ford, Farrell, Billy Vunipola, Jamie George - all past it.
Best player in the country hasn't played a test for 3 years (Sam Simmonds). Dombrandt is a close second - no tests.
May and Watson are potential match winners but the ball never reaches them: it seems to get stuck at Farrell.
rt1978 and ex_RFU_Ref below make stand-out comments of the last hour or so. England's penalty count was embarrassing and an indictment of their lackluster and careless disregard for the standard of conduct expected. As Ref puts it (below), England always carry this chip on their shoulder and just can't help carrying this arrogance and poor attitude to authority or teams that are beating them up! Removed

Last 30 posts, 12 of them from Welsh trolls. Thank you for your "concern" over the future of the England rugby team.
You clearly don’t know what a troll is. Most of the comments are reasonable, no need to dismiss all non-English posters as trolls. Makes you look insular and xenophobic. Removed

Abject Performances have been the hallmark of England under EJ though, and that is the concern. We had that incredible win against The All Blacks at World Cup 2019, and then got beaten up by South Africa. Then here, we had that incredible win against France, and yet England got well beaten by Ireland and Wales, and clinically undone by a dour ground out win by Scotland. It's all very inconsistent.
Mate you are totally wrong; are you a Welshman in disguise? Loser Removed
