I would start Tomos Williams at No.9 with Gareth Davies on the bench, but Tomos' lack of game time has edged it for Davies - otherwise full strength until Moriarty comes back to the bench.

Move on... England were so ill disciplined against Wales (as were Ireland and Scotland) and the first try (kick to the corner) is a perfect example of their lazy, ill disciplined, poorly coached approach. I totally get the Liam Williams try coming from a knock-on, but I don't remember this much moaning from the Welsh when Anscombe had a try disallowed at HQ in 2018. Hopefully a good game in Paris.

Pivac came in for criticism in the Autumn for doing what many coaches should do, giving younger players a chance to prove themselves. Yes we may have lost some games but we found some future stars in the process. A worthy sacrifice. Looking forward to this, should be a cracking game. In fact, the competition has been pretty good this year. Wales have had the rub of the green, but they can't be blamed for reckless tackles by the opposition and referees implementing the law, although the 'knock-on' try against England was a very poor decision. France, apart from the Eng.. blip, are strong and creative and are favourites imo

Great election for the Grand Slam game. The speed of Botham , Hill and Nicky Smith late in the game could be crucial, should France have established a lead, as happened at Twickenham. This I s likely to be Wales !its difficult game, but I am confident another slam will be coming out way.

At the start of the season I was hoping that we'd win enough games to ensure the coaches contracts got extended through to the WC.

I believed in Pivac & the coaches - but it took 3 years to really click at the Scarlets (but once it did it was fantastic), and you get much less time at International level.

So to be going for a GS is great news, as we're still far from the finished article i feel.

France surely have to be favourites? OK they lost to a very good performance from England, but then you look at the Wales games. 2 wins where the opposition was playing with 14 men for significant periods. 1 where, in the words of Ben Kayser, the ref pulled on his Welsh jersey, and a good win against Italy, but then everyone gets a good win against Italy.

So Wales will need to be at their best

Wales cannot control the ill discipline of the opposition, Ireland and Scotland quite rightly had players sent off. Wales got away with a knocked on try vs the English, but would have taken 3 points in front of the posts. The first try vs England was fine, England were just lazy on the left hand side of the field, May, Daly and Slade were ready on the right. Worst case scenario was a 36 - 24 win.

We also had a penalty advantage so it was only 4 points, not 7 as some suggested. Same with the cross field kick.

No, Wales have the better team. And a very quick bench. Wales to win.

No France have the better team, however that doesn’t mean they will have the better performance

No, Wales have the better team. But they're going to have to work for the win.

They are the better team based on what?

Wal have been playing better than Fra, they performed better against Eng. A few tweaks by Pivac, bringing in LRZ, moving North to OC, Foxy to IC & massive performances from injured but key players, in AWJ & Owens, Sanjay, Navidi etc etc has seen Wal return, not only to a winning way but confidence built by momentum.
Currently, Wales are the better team

France surely have to be favourites? OK they lost to a very good performance from England, but then you look at the Wales games. 2 wins where the opposition was playing with 14 men for significant periods. 1 where, in the words of Ben Kayser, the ref pulled on his Welsh jersey, and a good win against Italy, but then everyone gets a good win against Italy.

So Wales will need to be at their best

Looking forward to the final table showing Wales as the Grand Slam Champions with Ireland and Scotland doing their bit to make sure our noisy, overhyped neighbours are beaten down to 5th where they belong. Up the Celts!

Nope. Not going to happen. Wales, Ireland and Scotland are my bet for the rugby this weekend. Doing an accumulator and throwing Cardiff, Wrexham and Newport in as well.

Should be an easy win for Wales. I mean, France couldn't even beat England!
