Andrew Bailey has been criticised for evidence he gave over a scandal in which 11,000 savers lost money.
I can only apologise to our children on behalf of this self-seeking generation. Removed

No doubt having control over our monetary policy is a massive positive.

The best thing the UK could do now is to focus on innovation and high value manufacturing.

Creating the next Apple or Google would be an enormous boost for the UK.

If ever I need to remind myself of just how sensible I was to emigrate from the UK 7 years ago, I just have to look at the disgraceful and shameful mess that is modern Britain. Sometimes I feel like I 'dodged a bullet'...

Why BBC is there no HYS on Saturday night's incident at Clapham Common? We have a situation where women protesting peacefully about their safety and the murder of Ms Everard are badly manhandled by the Met. Notwithstanding CoVid, the contrast to the Met's approach to Extinction Rebellion where the Met did nothing for days is stark and makes me sick to to the core. Pls BBC don't take this down. Removed

Just because you are protesting for a cause that many would see as right does not absolve you from breaking laws designed to protect all of us from Covid.

If the police ask you to move or depart to restore safety and you refuse you should be arrested - pity Ranger's fans were not treated the same way.

Women protesting illegally? Those ones you mean? They were breaking the law & turned rowdy. What do you expect the police to do when people are blatantly breaking the law?
As with all protests, probably driven by the militant left & disrupters. ER should have been treated the same way.

Successful people always back the Conservative party. Failures don't own businesses, successful people do. No good being jealous about it.

At least my IP address is in the UK. And I vote in the UK. Unlike a lot of the posters on here. EU is desperate, it is jealous that the UK economy is going to bounce out of Covid as the strongest country in Europe.

The EU economic package solution is light on immediate and short term spending and given that our variant of Covid is only just starting to sweep over a Europe that has yet to get it's vaccine programme firing; then the BoE response looks like we will be restored to net economic growth way before the Continent

More and more countries suspend use of the UK Oxford vaccine as it could end up a dead patriot

So I said this before and say it again, my message to brits in Britain remains the same:

Lockdown

P.S. Forget BOE

DO NOT THINK THIS IS OVER - YET!

Don't splash out - don't hand over your hard earned cash to the pirate ship!

The PLAN is to reset the world's economy to year zero so that those whom we cannot mention can buy it all back - dirt cheap!

THEN will come the re-birth - our enslavement!

The current economic damage is all brexit. For all countries suffer from the pandemic. Boris is just a product of the built-in Class prejudices and the English social superiority complex that comes free of charge for your ultra-expensive Eton Education and the dorm system. I bet he found that by being a populist, he did not get bullied as much
