They say it is unfair pubs will have to wait five weeks longer than non-essential retail to reopen indoors.

At the moment the most desired object in the UK must be a pint of decent ale sitting on a pub table in front of you!
And a life feed to SAGE 'experts' dangling from a rope. Removed

With some of the cretins on here it makes me wonder if they are worth the effort in trying to keep them safe.
No discipline, backbone, and no thought for anyone else. Shameful!!
That's how I feel about the kind of people who think it perfectly acceptable to steal a year from seventy million perfectly healthy people so that they feel slightly less 'anxious' shuffling around Morrisons.

And using faux concern for 'granny' as an excuse for their own bedwetting fear.

Get a grip Hospitality! Why the hell would you sue when shutting was meant yo save and protect lives, unlike the MET Police! Now she should be sued snd fired, that C Dick woman officer! Not for trying yo save lives by shutting down pubs! Noone takes responsibility nowadays noone. Removed

There's an immense irony in what you've just posted, particularly in those last five words, which technically, should be seven words.

They're special.
Clearly they can touch women and assault them as well as was evidenced on Saturday by the cowards of the Met, but not BLM though nope you can protest as much as you want and also commit criminal damage Removed

Did you read the news, where the gathering of women were handcuffed and forcibly dragged away from their peaceful protest?

it's on the bbc and every other news outlet.

If the old and vulnerable are vaccinated then things need to open up as people are becoming lethargic and hopeless.

Still your choice if you want to go to such venues - I personally would still try to sit outside for now as I have had the less effective AZ vaccine. According to the pharmacist it does not prevent long covid or even moderate disease!
Your pharmacist is an idiot. Removed

Keep pubs (and nightclubs) closed for the rest of the year, until we're certain the virus is under complete control. The selfish drunken louts who take over our city centres every weekend will survive a bit longer without inflicting themselves on the local populations.
Yep stay hidden under your duvet in terror collecting all your furlough cheques like a good ProjectFear disciple Removed

But that's just the point isn't it "DaveG" - without all the drunks and idiots we CAN go out and enjoy our city centres, but when they return, once again certain areas will become "no-go" zones if you don't want to be hassled or abused.

A disgraceful comment.
The £39bn tax contributions from Hospitality pays for one of the following;
——
All the police who break up fights in city and town centres every weekend and all the nurses and doctors and nurses who treat the protagonists and victims.
Not to mention all the infrastructure to accommodate tens of thousands of Non EU immigrants in low paid employment (so few net tax contributions).

The Police state must come to end and the Police must start actually catching SOME REAL CRIMINALS especially with the criminally high increases in Council Tax charges for Policing.

What the hell are they doing with their time???
