From an England fan I was really impressed by the Welsh performance today. They have a very strong team and good luck to them next week.

However, I was again disappointed by Italy, they seem to lack any direction and I don't know what they are contributing to this competition. Expanding rugby is important but not by having these non contests.

Can I just say it’s nice to see some civility on a bbc HYS! Being a Welshman I can’t decide whether a France or England win is what I want here. Part of me wants it wrapped up but that might make the game next week an anticlimax! Class performance today from wales, Italy trying but not good enough to compete in the end

Agree on both points. I cheer for Italy in every game and would love to see the underdog do well, but there’s been no significant or sustained improvement in years. Perhaps the principle should be that we’d like to see countries remain in the tournament indefinitely, but if you’re last for 5 consecutive seasons then another country is given a go?

Well done Wales but how much longer are Italy going to be allowed to be the perennial whipping boys of the 6 Nations?.This match was over as a contest after 15 minutes and for any neutral watching the interest has gone. when you have kitchen drawers full of wooden spoons maybe it is time to reduce it back to a 5 Nations as there is no suitable replacement in the Northern Hemisphere.

Excellent first half performance but a tad disappointed with the second half. Still scored some tries but the control we had in the first half slipped. It all suggests that denouncing Pivac was premature, assuming we couldn't function without Warren was insulting, and running with a blend of experience (Alun Wyn, Ken, Tipuric etc) and exciting young talent (Zammit, Sheedy, Hardy) is exactly the right approach. Next Saturday could be an extraordinary vindication of 12 months of much maligned management.

You must expand the game, not contract. Add Georgia and Spain -both are likely better than Italy just now, and the sport needs to grow.

Also, if you check your atlas, Japan is in the Northern Hemisphere...

Good win for Wales, but let's be honest any of the English Premiership sides would have given them a harder game.
Time to either return to 5 Nations or bring in promotion/relegation.
Italy are just not competitive, and if anything their defeats are becoming worse rather than better, making a mockery of the tournament !!!

Felt sorry for our forwards, especially in second half, should have thrashed Italy, instead too much experimental backs stuff that their outside centre read easily. Play like that against France and we will be thrashed. Our back row are easing in slowly but surely and will have to be the difference for us in Paris. I want France to beat England so we are not their personal revenge mission.

This Wales team must be the luckiest Six Nations team ever to be in contention for a Grand Slam. They played most of the game against Ireland with an extra man and still only scraped a win. Against England the hapless French referee gifted them two tries and the win today over Italy was always a formality.
