Pesonally, I am fed up with all this ennvironment rubbish. The planet will survice long after we have gone. The next generation(s) will find alternative fuels and ways of doing things just as we have. We do not need to save the planet, we need to save humanity. That starts with hygene. I'd rather use disposable (clean) carrier bags if it means that I'm less likely to catch a virus.
You ar environmental rubbish - just like your Liar clown. Removed

Can't you avoid using coal by using an Electric arc furnace? Or is this not practical?

What short memories . . .

The MP said standards that were 'good enough for India' could be good enough for the UK

Channel 4 Despatches "The truth about chlorinated chicken" and the views of the US' largest producer of chicken bits, with entrails on the floor, and stories of people wearing nappies on the production line because they weren't allowed toilet breaks may help the 'bah! never done me any harm!' brigade.
The one where JRM ducks the question about whether Brexit made him £7m richer also worth a look

The UK is lowering its environmental standards post-Brexit.

Seriously, what did people expect?

When will the extremists recognise that the UK has massively reduced emissions and is miles ahead of most European countries and certainly the US. Of course I would never expect the eco warriors to give credit to our great country. And all this to halt the imagined "climate emergency" which has seen a runaway temperature rise of 0.8 degrees centigrade in the last 130 years (oh hang on).

There is no slow-motion disaster. The planet will be here long after we have gone. Our descendants will find new ways of doing things.

The problem is most environmentalists dont have a grip on reality. The new mine is needed for a particular reason. The alternative is import from abroad at more cost & more environmental damage overall. Theres a balance between environmental wants, economic need & personal freedoms. Its not all about them, despite them thinking it is. Petulant wannabees like Thunberg classic example of the breed.
