So tired of the BBC ramming women's sports like cricket and football at us but not a single mention of the LPGA event that ALSO took place this weekend. NOT even on the "golf" page?? You suck at Moto GP coverage as well!!!!

Not sure what you mean by ramming women’s sports at you. Personally I feel there’s not enough coverage of women’s sports as a whole, not just golf.
Not sure if serious?
There is the obligatory article on whatever women's event was taking place over the weekend. This weekend some woman from Ireland managed her first top 10 finish on tour for 12 months, so well done her.
Of course, to find anything on the site you must be able to ignore all the handwringing about gender pay gaps in sport.

Unfortunately, nothing about Sandy Lyle having won the Players in 1987 coming with a 10-year exemption at a time where that actually really meant something.
More majors than Adam Scott, Jason Day, Fred Couples and David Duval, the same as Martin Kaymer and Greg Norman.
I really don't understand why Sandy is consistently missed out of these discussions.

Have you just woken up from a coma? If so i'm glad you're feeling better. If not go see a doc who'll check you out to see if you're healthy. If he gives you a clean bill of health then go see a physicist who will explain the universe and everything, including the theory of time and its passage.

No coma just commenting on some of the names included in the article.
"The roll of honour includes titans of the game; Woods twice, Jack Nicklaus three times and world number ones such as Jason Day, Martin Kaymer, Adam Scott, David Duval, Fred Couples, Greg Norman and Nick Price."
I don't think half of those are really current!

A few of those referenced in the article are old timers long since retired. That tends to be the case when the author is looking back over past winners. Lyle could certainly have been mentioned.
for somebody who throws around accusations of people spouting garbage, you really should look in the mirror!

You are clutching at straws now.
He was rubbish for 3 days and yesterday was irrelevant.
That said, with a world ranking of 55 he will be ahead of MaclLroy who is struggling with the fact that DeChambeau has stolen his thunder.
For me personally, this is as good as golf gets.
Sky sports bringing wonderful pictures to my screen and great champions every week. Koepka, DJ, JT Reed, DeC. Perfect

This is how our Golf department operate mate.
They are only interested in talking about Ireland.
Even after this tournament was won, they moved quickly on to MaclLroy's problems. It's pathetic.
We are grown up and massive golf fans on here. These pages do not deserve our time and efforts.

Have to admit that having not initially been a fan of Bryson’s golfing technique, he is increasingly exciting to watch and I find myself tuning in to watch him. His wedge and putting play were fabulous this weekend and that 300+ carry over the water was just incredible. A word also for the perfect gentlemen of golf Lee Westward. What a great performance and I truly hope you win a big one soon.
Pro golfers get enough free drops as it is! they would want a referee to look at every blemish and then get a drop especially in america .The next they would be asking for 2 goes at every shot .And well done westwood still at the top while the young brigade come and go.
Prize money in golf has NOTHING to do with equality, sex or race but rather on the value and exposure the title sponsor deems worthy of the expense. TV viewing numbers (in this case mostly men watching golf) will indicate market reach, in golf's case the men's game dwarfs the women's games and prize money shows that. I personally love watching the girls play not sure how mixed events work in golf?

We play genderless comps at one of my clubs, been working very well for years, for all competitors. It’s been programmed into society to devalue women’s abilities and capabilities. Golf appears to bring out the worst in those who perpetuate such behaviours. Baffling as to why, but something we’ve come to live with and surmount.
Westwood is an ex number one and a winner of forty odd tournaments around the world. Unfortunately he's never won either a major, a WGC event or the Players. That's over 160 attempts without a single win, that really does tell a story. Anyone who can remember his missed putts in the Ryder Cup, when his mate Darren inexplicably gave him a wild card pick will not be surprised he came up short again.
Sorry Jimmy, did I get something wrong there?
See Borey got a mention, why?? Another last day bottle job....even the old relic Westwood is playing better golf than him.

I had a beer with him and Tony Fineau at the Dunhill in St Andrews a few years ago, Both decent guys.
Not a single opportunity to comment on the one-sided, sycophantic guff broadcast on ITV last night. I am no royalist, but this was hardly cricket! Please open a HYS on the most important Royal situation in a generation!

Quality last round and exciting to the very last putt. Superb entertainment and great to see limited crowds back. Bryson and Lee both outstanding under the pressure of leading the tournament. Two monster putts by Dechambeau the difference in the end. Hope Lee has a major fall into his lap. He has a great record at Augusta.
