England's series defeat in India is sealed with one final, abject batting collapse on the third day of the fourth Test in Ahmedabad.

This series should be the absolute priority ahead of Australia (who are not that good anyway and are specialists in sledging and cheating!)

Toppling India in India surely is the ultimate cricketing challenge. Let’s hope that England step up and battle properly in the upcoming 20/20 and one day games. So far this has been a total disaster. More gardening this weekend?

I truly hope New Zealand rip you apart at Lord's, Vikesh.

Show some humility.

See if you are laughing when New Zealand beat you in June in conditions that will suit them. No sandpits and no doubt Kohli will get stroppy when he doesn't like being beaten like he did when NZ gave him a hiding last time.

Congrats to India first of all. They’ve been the most consistent test team, along with NZ, and both are justified finalists. Should be a cracking final and I expect the ICC to prepare a pitch that offers value for the occasion

For England, lessons haven’t been learnt on spin and batting fragility.Even at home, they suffer when the pitch takes spin late

Work needs doing for summer & the ashes!
Not even India, or their lap dogs the ICC can prepare the English weather. Removed
you seem extra butt hurt that India has been winning. ROFL.. love it! Removed
Am I surprised? Absolutely not. Did I expect this? Absolutely yes. I called 3-1 to India after the first fluky win by the English. English are a massive brown, sticky, smelly pile of ???????? Can’t play spin bowling to save their lives. And there’s only seam or spin bowling in any form of cricket ?? regardless of pace. Onwards & upwards for India to play the kiwis ?? in the test championship. ??? Removed

What a silly message. Get a grip of yourself. India will do well to win here.... wait a few more months

When there’s a slight chance of escaping without an innings defeat am I on my own in wondering why Lawrence seemed intent on giving Leach the strike by running singles off the first ball of the over?
And Dom Bess? Did someone lace his tea with idiot powder?

Any news on when the ICC will deduct demerit points to India for producing disgraceful wickets???

I guess no.... no punishment will be the outcome.

Wouldn’t change the result here -but the law about girders in pass needs to be amended. If fielders can’t wear keeping or batting pads they shouldn’t be able to wear them under whites. It’s an unfair advantage as it allows the field to get closer to the bat. In Sibley’s case the ball hit the roll of the pad and spooned up -amend the laws and make that 5 penalty runs

Congratulations to India's groundsmen

They learned from the first test and prepared pitches just turning enough on day 1 to be unplayable by Eng batsmen but not turning enough to give Leach/Root enough to attack

Well at least one good thing has come out of this. Those ******* in 'The baggy green' won't be in the final. Kohli is all smug smiles now but will throw a hissy tantrum if things don't go his way when the final is on just like he did here to Stokes and when India were outplayed in NZ. We won't see the ball spit in a sandpit at Lords in June so India shouldn't think it's all cut and dried yet.
Hold on. Are you from Karachi? Removed

Another disgraceful pitch means that India get to the final of the Test championship undeservedly. Shocking abuse of the situation. Authorities must act to stop this. Removed

This team is not a test team and never has been. To inpatient and unable to adapt. Good for one day and 20/20 cricket. We need to pick players that can bat for all day and bowlers that don't spray it about. Love to play this team in my local league. Ha

I think a memo went round India after the first test that India must win at all costs. The pitches were far too loaded in India's favour and the umpires were only looking to ensure they could give decisions India's way. I'm sure some would like England to give India the same treatment when they come here but that would be a travesty for test cricket.
We lost in England mate convincingly. And we didn’t have the dummy out the pram like you clowns. Removed

Its ok for all you so called england backers, but after 1st test India were bound to try and regain there cheating mode and they did. Pitches are or should be fair and playable not to one sides advantage or the other. Kholis disgraceful behavior in last teast confronting STOKES ON WAY IN WAS QUICKLY REBUFFED BY STOKES GETTING HIM FOR NOUGHT.kHOLI IS A DISGRACE TO CRICJKET LEADING A BUNCH OF CHEATS Removed

Get over yourself, even most blinkered England fans now accept India were the far better team in this series with home conditions that obviously suited them. As for Kohli confronting Stokes, it is only because the latter said something abusive to Siraj & Kohli as Indian captain, stepped in to defend & support his bowler.
Looks like match fixing and dodgy Indian umpires. The win in Australia was due to IPL contracts for the Aussie players. Nobody wants to leave a gravey train Removed

Pathetic from England. Went into this test a bowler short and that batting line up just continues to fail. Bairstow picked on name (friends with Root) alone and quite clearly has never been Test match quality. Sibley is a Rabbit and my dog could bowl better than Bess. India in a different league to England who seriously need to stop picking the wrong players.

Shows a lack of intelligence. Black lives matter isnt a statement that other lives dont matter. Its about black discrimination and the imbalance of black deaths as a percentage of all deaths. Get educated.

“So happy India beat the ecb team as how can someone of ethnic minority support this team supposedly representing England?”. It means you are not fully British/English. It also means you want a South African style quota system – which actually the ECB has unofficially followed. Sadly for the politically correct, ethnic minority players do not cut the mustard in test cricket. Removed

why would we change our whole summer game just to compete better every 4 years in india ? every test match team struggles in india period. the whole point about touring other countries is it is hard and you are up against it . india themselves are notorious for touring poorly its only very recently that they have managed to win in australia , very rarely win in eng and got thumped in nz, chillout
