Im sorry even as a Liverpool fan, we cannot only blame injuries for our demise this season. its not the defence that is struggling; its clearly the midfield with Klopp persisting with playing midfielders in defence instead of having a little more faith in the current crop of CBs available. also Klopp making questionable decisions such as taking Salah off when Mane and Firmino were having a stinker
Yep agree totally :( Removed

Klopp has sacrificed his midfield who were so responsible for how they played and pressed in order to strengthen the CB's and that's cost him the team's ability to attack, along with being less effective in defense. A better manager would have adapted and used a different system until his players were back. Its probably going to cost him in the end.

But yeah, Van Dijk’s injury is the reason why they’re seventh ?????
You are an idiot if you think it isn't. Last night was a perfect example of what happens when a midfielder plays in defence. Mason Mount would not have got that shot off if VvD and Henderson had been playing. (And TAA would not have stood there dozing if he knew he was going to get torn to pieces by the senior players.)
VvD would have fixed the defensive line after Werner's first breakthrough.

Klopp's excuses now mirroring the scouse mindset, never to blame are they.

Klopp didn't behave like that before going to Liverpool, so what is it about the Liverpool culture and mindset that makes people think like that.

Everyone has a right to an opinion. However, for an opinion to be worthwhile, it needs to be backed up with rationale and facts. So when some post on here that all teams have injuries, they don’t want to care about how many, which players and for how long.

The fact is that LFC have double the games missed of the 2nd worst affected team. Critics want to gloss over that fact. I wonder why?
You're wasting your time mate, Man U fans all over HYS giving us stick for not winning a title that they're not going to win either, it's nuts!
Only City fans have the right to boast and brag, worthy Champions this season, the best team by far, as for United they need to concentrate on finishing in the top 4 themselves as they're not exactly blowing teams away

City and Chelsea have clout, but aren't United saddled with huge debts? The idea that Liverpool are a small club is laughable, the decision not to spend on the squad is a strategic choice. Alisson & VVD didn't come cheap. The owners of Liverpool have a philosophy and it involves doing things frugally.

One of the things generally about Liverpool fans is their apparent ignorance of FFP. Is that deliberate following the Stanley Park scandal ? I don’t know.

Clubs may (under FFP) spend their revenues as reported in their audited financial statements. Deloitte’s money league reveals that last season, Liverpool were 2nd only to England’s perennial biggest and richest club - Man Utd.

Leicester ended up in 12th place the season after they were Champions. Back then, there was no talk about Leicester making a mockery of their title defence and they had more or less the same team. I think Mahrez left for City and Kante left for Chelsea. We've had injury after injury - but at the same time, the players we have should be doing better.
Everyone was happy for them. They were delighted with what was a totally unexpected run & result.

LFC’s win (whilst excellent) was spoiled by their vile, fake, plastic trolls who blighted every HYS to make it all about LFC who would be going on to “dominate world football for the next decade”.

LCFC fans were humble & thrilled with their success. THAT’S why everyone is laughing at LFC.

Klopp needed a CB and he got Kabak and Davies (total £2m outlay).

Pep wanted a spare CB and got £65m Dias, £40m Ake.
After buying Mangala £40m, otamendi £40m, John stones £50m, Laporte £65m !!

At right back Pep wasn’t convinced by £50m Kyle Walker so bought £65m Cancelo.

It’s easier to manage injuries when you have two £50m players for every position

Evertonian all my life, proud to say I named my year old son Alex Duncan Dixie Dean.
I have had to put up with many disappointments I was at Wembley twice FA cup
Nearly topped myself.
Typical pathetic reporting.
Every team goes though a bad patch
When Klopp went to Liverpool I thought a man who loves attractive football he has proved this
They are still class and they will show this again
Been an Evertonian all my life, witnessed the underhand dealings and vile behaviour of the pool and their vicious supporters, they have no class and are reviled the length and breadth of Britain. Removed

Klopp has sacrificed his midfield who were so responsible for how they played and pressed in order to strengthen the CB's and that's cost him the team's ability to attack, along with being less effective in defense. A better manager would have adapted and used a different system until his players were back. Its probably going to cost him in the end.

All clubs have dislikeable fans but that doesn’t mean they all are. Please take up any issues you have with them directly.

As for Salah, he has only been booked once for LFC for simulation and there was clear contact that time. Not bad when we have had VAR for some of that time.

Liverpool are a small club from an irrelevant provincial city one third the size of Manchester. They’ve won one Premier League title in 30 years and that cost them £1.47mln.

The anomaly here is the bankrolling of the club over 20 years in 70’s and 80’s to buy trophies and a plastic fan base, who are still anywhere but liverpool today.

But the problem we have is with the behaviour of the fans.

If winning a PL and CL is being a flop, what do you demand of your team to not be a flop?

Silence ..............
Why not try and address the points made rather than attempting to look ‘clever’? Removed

Abramovich owns Chelsea. He also owns the company who Chelsea ‘borrowed’ from. So he owes money to himself?
IF he sells Chelsea, he could take the ‘debt’ from the sale proceeds. But the club will remain debt free.

______

All sounds contrived and very fishy if that's true?
Quite surprised UEFA don't take more interest in the way Chelsea operate too be honest?

More than double the injuries of the 2nd worst affected team.

Best four CB all injured.

Death of his mother and can’t even go home for a funeral.

Covid and a condensed season.

Yet for some there is no excuse.

Are you this harsh when criticising your own team?

I don’t expect anyone will answer THAT question...,,,
Removed
My last comment removed? Question too tough for someone?

Easy to criticise. Much harder to win a PL/CL against Pep’s £1bn MC team with the squad Klopp inherited and the money available.

MC didn’t have to sell anyone either.

So easy to criticise indeed.

The root cause of the current collapse, lack of recruitment, leaving little or no cover in defense, so Fab & Hendo were dropped into CB, ripping the heart out of the midfied leaving it lacking drive and creativity with no pressing, increasing the pressure on the front 3 to produce and a distinct lack of quality off the bench, it was inevitsble the bubble was bound to burst.
My comment was not only moderated by the BBC, but double-checked, strange when I have never broken the house rules, so if my its not about house rules then what is it? The only previous comments I have made were about the controversial opening of a new coal mine in Cumbria if so it it seems the fact my comments are being double-checked is now politically motivated and I am being singled out. Liverpool cant give whoever is in charge next season an open cheque book for the simple reason klopps already spent over a billion and there's hardly anything left.
If manè and Salah and a few others sling their hooks end if season then liverpool will have to use their academy players which means another long period in the wilderness.
Klopp (Fenway) has spent 1/2 £billion on players (£518m)

A fantastic handout considering the club was just about to drown in it's own enormous debt when they showed up.

FSG did, what FSG do; buy a failed businesses for peanuts, settle debts, fatten them back into healthy profit and then feed off them taking every red cent they can.

How much did they give Klopp last month?

It's begun....!

Klopp has spent over £1bn?

Really?

Care to list them all?

This should be fun.
£1.47 Bln to buy the league.

Not a new thing for the small club with a tired stadium in an irrelevant small provincial city. Bolstered and bankrolled by shareholders they bought trophies and plastic fans in the 70’s and 80’s

And now the rest of us have to listen to the insufferable crowing from a team that has just managed to equal Blackburn’s achievement of one PL win in 30 years

Call it obsessive if you want but let’s not deceive ourselves. The single most important thing in football this season is that Liverpool do NOT make the top 4.
The reason is twofold. It will affect their revenue and reduce ability to attract top players.

We are all praying ??
