Covid Brazil variant 'may spread more easily'
02/03/2021 | news | health | 821
The first detailed studies of the P.1 variant suggest it may be up to twice as transmissible.
Is it too soon to make jokes about having considered getting a Brazilian but now having second thoughts? Removed

Your nuts.
Come on, it takes pluck!

(There's probably a 'joke' about having the sack here, too, but I think I'll leave it. In fact I've got off the entire idea and am about to report my own post to the mods.)

Infectious diseases expert Prof Ester Sabino, from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, said: "You need many introductions [of a virus] to start an epidemic. Six is very few. I would say if you take care and DO CONTACT TRACING - oops I think we are in trouble

Or on the other hand it might not. What happened to the South African strain., which disappeared without a trace and which has had no affect the figures , which are thankfully dropping like a stone. We must stop living in fear.
Most notably in SA itself - herd immunity killed it off there and almost nobody relative to the size of population died

We have sacrificed all our futures for some "chicken licken" scientists

Will we ever trust them again?

The Police, with their newly found work ethic and backbone for upholding the law........Well...Only Covid rules...to scared to actually tackle real crime.

Roads busy, shops full, beaches packed....just another day for numpties who have forgotten we're still in lockdown
What pandemic?
If you're going to create a story, you need to make sure that everone knows their lines and they have the correct costumes on.

Anything that deviates from this will just make people question the narrative

I'll say it again, WHAT PANDEMIC?
flights still flying
borders still open
rich people suing other rich people in the courts still
What pandemic?

Idiocy is a disease

There’s a suicide a day due to gambling problems.

Are you going to suggest banning gambling?

Funny how you lot come out about mental health after years of mocking “the weak” and voting for cuts to services providing me to health care
Yet you want to ban life for Covid??? Idiot Removed

Yes you are correct. They aren't contagious, but with nearly all attention focused on COVID, the amount of deaths because of cancer is significantly greater whilst going under the radar. Everyone agrees COVID is bad and a death toll of 100k+ in a country as small as ours is unacceptable, but the prevention of it is becoming worse than its end results. We aren't living anymore, we're just existing.
Covid uncontrolled causes this, it's not focusing. Covid patients can't breathe, UK critical care capacity is less than one third of Germany.

Covid left to rip will fill hospitals, even after vaccine. If vaccines are 80% effective then still a huge risk as the country opens.

Look at "Eat out to create variants" ... Sunak caused many deaths, akin to mass murder.
