Well done Wales! What a turnaround from recent poor form. Played the game smarter, a weakness of ENG of late.

ENG going through the motions. What's that boxing kicking at halfway about? Maybe if you're in the ascendancy but it seems like a casual solution to moving forward, looking toothless with moves like that.

Bonus point win, too. As a Scots fan, hoping FRA can do the deeds against Wales!

Cheers to the ref.
Cheers for all the penalties,
Cheers Maro, Cheers Genge,
Martin and Jerry gutted, what a misery Johnson is by the way,
Decent 40 point win plus BP,
Wales not great but good enough for England,
Get that Triple Crown out.
England are a decent team but need to improve their IQ.

14 men for Ireland and Scotland and 16 men today. The luckiest and most undeserved triple crown in history

Oh, Jenny, we don't need to go there, do we? Can't we simply congratulate Wales? We can have a laugh about it, but there's no need for bitterness, however controversial the officiating. They didn't ask the referee for those decisions. At the end of the day, England made plenty of unforced errors and failed to get themselves back into a winning attitude. We have to learn from it, as Farrell said.

I agree that the ref was terrible. However, Eng can only blame themselves. Too many penalties, picking players with no game time. I’ve been saying for a while that Jones’ run is over. Picking players on form (Simmonds etc) would be a start. I’m English, but it would be letting Jones and the team off, to blame the ref solely for Eng losing today.

Wasn’t luck that 2 players were sent off. It was indiscipline that were punished. Today we got lucky. Eng’s discipline wasn’t lucky. Reward for pressure & individual mistakes. That’s the game. But as a schoolboy scrum half in the valleys back in the day, coaches always drummed into you to play the whistle and never ever turn your back which is why we ran backwards a lot every training session.

Wales can only play the team that turns up, if that team is ill disciplined with foul play that could seriously injure players then what do you want to happen - Alun Wyn Jones to say to the ref that he should send a Welsh player off so that the match is even? I am fed up with bad sportsmanship - both on the pitch and here. Well done Wales Triple Crown Winners 2021 - hopefully Grand Slam as well.

No one I suspect. But to call the captain over, tell him to talk to the team and allow a quick penalty is diabolical. He’s supposedly experienced, so he should know to check with the defenders that they’re ready. Or give them a count down.
To do neither is like a school match with a home referee who doesn’t want his team to lose.
Truly shocking to see in an international.

You can’t make the 16 point argument. The final points were played in garbage time when England were taking risks. Due to England's continued indiscipline I think Wales deserved to win, and well done to them.

However, the officiating was simply awful today. When Eddie Butler and Jonathan Davies disagrees with the decisions you know they can't be good.

It wasn't just the try decisions. The referee ruined what could've been a great game.

I disagree, it's not the referees fault that England give away penalties. It's the players.

And Farrell should stop mouthing off, referees get fed up with mouthy captains.

Why does Farrell always look like he's chewing a wasp?

Ref was pathetic. An uphill battle all game, Johnathan Davies, usually so bias was hilarious when contemplating the ref as MOTM for Wales.

However Jones needs to go. Beard had played more games this season than the whole England squad combined.

Totally agree, ref was shocking but it was England indiscipline that lost that. They have been like that in all games so the English can't blame every ref. Even as a Welshman I agree. There were many strange decisions by the ref .. not all in Wales' favour actually. What I would say to England is simply this .. discipline, discipline, discipline. They have good players but there is "something rotten in the state of Denmark" to quote the Bard. On-field management is still poor. I like EJ, but he needs to get more of a grip of his players.

Get lost ??. England have a big point to be upset about the first try. However, they got themselves back level. At that point they were looking good. But they totally lost discipline after that. The penalties awarded from that point onwards were stone wallers. They’ll be disappointed big time. Wales deserved that win. If you disregard the laws you’ll give away penalties.

England's decisions were also not on the mark in my opinion. Elliot Daly is not a three quarter - runs like a winger - no chance of off loading to Jonny May when he should have. Farrell kicking for goal when should be kicking for the corner to keep the pressure on. England are good at lineouts and mauling their way to the line but how many times did they do it? Not world beaters yet Eddie!

I feel the penalties need to be divided into two categories: those conceded for infringing the Laws of the game and those awarded while not doing so. The actual penalty count was too high but, like the final score, was probably a little different to the one recorded. On balance, England were the better side.

Fair comment: I’m a big fan of Owen Farrell and I take my hat off to him for not rising to the bait in the post-match interview. He’s not been on top form but he is always honest and straight. Totally agree with you about the interview and the responses of Jones and Farrell. I think these interviews are a waste of time anyway. You could see from the players' faces incl. AWJ's that they can't wait to get out of it.

Dead right.
She should transfer her “skill set” such as it is to football where it would be more in tune with the attitude which prevails.

Congratulations to Wales.
As an England fan I have to say we have had a terrible six nations. Poor tactics, terrible discipline and just being second best. We are not in transition- we are just not very good at the moment. Eddie is looking as jaded as the team and has to take responsibility.

Well done, Wales.

It's amazing how Wales constantly get written off, whether it's a WC or Six Nations. Not good enough, or two old.

Then they get to a semi final, even with mass injuries.

Or now, a triple crown and maybe another Grand Slam

Don’t think the two tries should have stood, but both came from nailed on penalties bang in front. Even if both had been chalked off they’d have come back for a guaranteed 6 points; and Watson wouldn’t have scored, asEngland aren’t going for the corner at 6-9 down rather than 6-17. So there’s no point making this argument (ditto no point Wales claiming the final margin was bigger than 14 points)

I prefer the Rugby version of refereeing to football...but he had an bad day. It's a pity Managers cant have a challenge card a la TMO in Cricket...but it is a rapid momentum game, and in any case once Vid Ref has ruled what's the point of challenge?

Please elaborate and evidence your first sentence. I saw a ref enforcing back foot law, offside law, ruck law, impartially. For 50yrs I've coached young players to face the play, not jibber jabber in a huddle. Ref walked back to the spot, raised his arm, blew his whistle, restarted play, Wales were paying attention.Try. Take the time to acquaint yourself with the knock on law, then watch the play.
