Cumbria coal mine plan 'damaging PM's reputation'
01/03/2021 | news | science | 489
Foreign ambassadors say Boris Johnson's tacit support for the mine prompts accusations of hypocrisy.
Imagine thinking that a serial liar who cheated on his wife whilst she was undergoing cancer treatment. Who has abandoned his children and spent taxpayer money on sex would care about his 'reputation'?

The electorate doesn't care about his character. This is what we want representing us.

Right?

So you cant use logic or facts to argue about how this coal mine will reduce emissions, instead you resort to personal attacks.

This says more about you.

Since when has being British meant that one has to fawningly accept everything a British government does is the best thing since sliced bread and always superior to that achieved by Johny Foreigner?

I’m British... I agree with squeezy’s comment. One has to laugh or crying is inevitable. Yet again when people point to the exciting industrial research and development of future steel production, it’s overseas. I wish I could point to the experimental hydrogen steel works rather than a mine.

That's just your way of reading it. I read it as quite a depressed comment. Be aware of your own input on things like small written comments.

"David Attenborough provided evidence."
correction David Attenborough provided an opinion.

Unlike you, I did postgrad research using complex computer simulations that would take weeks to run. So yes, Im well aware of the limitations of this type of modelling. Im well aware of the pressure to publish. How about you? any relevant experience?
I don't believe you Grumpy .... your comments are too basic to be educated. Removed

Does the BBC repeatedly open HYS on arguments its reporters have lost in the hope that common sense will be ignored.

UK coal for UK steel production is the only sensible answer.
Importing coal from unregulated third world mines only damages the environment further.

Please do not forget not 120.000 dead and a lot have covid on the death certificate that have not been tested dead or alive. The figures are missleading and done to justify government policy at least in the early days.
PS do not forget covid was in this country and France in late November to early December.
