Nice to have space between us and the goons agaim
Absolutely, you can put that achievement next to your other trophies in your trophy cabi.. oh never mind
All you had to do was park the bus for 80 minutes and rely on VAR against 19th place.
Well done!!
Well done!!
Fulham, Burnley, Marine and Wycombe put to the sword
Harry Kane - blatant dive in the first half. Wasn’t touched and went down holding his shin to cheat a penalty. Var even checked it to confirm there was no contact. I know pretty much every big team has at least one or two culprits but Tottenham fans are you not really embarrassed by this?
Okay genius, considering he was in front of the player and hasn't got eyes in the back of his head, how the hell did he know the guys foot was there?
Var never said there was no contact. The replays didn’t show there was no contact. They just decided it wasn’t enough for a penalty. How many strikers are there that don’t make the most of contact in the box?
Yes, as a Spurs fan. Are you going to tell me that Salah, Mane, Vardy et al are not equally guilty? Nothing will change until the referees clamp down consistently. Personally, I think there should be a 'sin bin' (15 or 20 mins) for simulation. That would kill it dead within 1 season.
Every team doing it so don't get so precious. This originated as a continental disease or as they see it a "skill" so let them lead the way in penalising play acting with a red.
Yes it was a dive and he does it.
No shame it admitting that, unlike certain clubs who never do any wrong
No shame it admitting that, unlike certain clubs who never do any wrong
VAR just confirmed that it didn’t have enough evidence to overturn the refs decision that’s all
There is not a player in the PL who doesn't suddenly get all wobbly on his feet when they get possession in the opposition penalty area.
My sympathy for cheating left after years of seeing sides like Arsenal and United get away with horror. Still recall Mendes' goal disallowed against Carroll. Also people forget how big a cheat Henry was. Remember his basketball handling to cheat and score against Ireland to put France in the world cup? Apparently this is "winning mentality".
No, because every team has at least one or two culprits, as you said yourself. I don’t like it, but sadly, that’s the way the game will stay, because neither FIFA, UEFA nor the FA want to do anything about it.
who do you support? He went down under minimal contact. It wasn't enough for him to fall the way he did or hold his shin but show me a striker in the prem or any league who doesn't. What I'm more embarrassed about is the opposing teams singling out of Kane. Get over it.
Kane dives in injury time to win a free kick, and Hoddle says “that was clever”. How biased is that?
It is cheating mate. No two ways about it
Lucky spuds (only 2 shots on target against poor opposition!)

That wasn’t a dive and the foul meant Spurs didn’t score a second....!!!
I thought the ref was good on Kane’s diving today. Didn’t award him a penalty, VAR got that one right. That one at the end Reed clipped him, although Kane made the most of it to waste time which most Orem footballers would do in that situation.
Fulham at the moment are by no means poor opposition. If you’re a Gooner beware when you play them.
He didn't dive, Reed clipped him & he did what any player would have done when you are 0-1 up with a minute to go & well you know it, stick to the rag trade mate......
Seem to remember Hoddle,Shilton, Butcher all lambasting Maradona for "cheating" and the same blokes now call it being "clever" when an english player does it . Double standards of the highest order
It’s about the only time this season the pundit for a Tottenham game hasn’t been an ex-Arsenal player. Now that is bias, not one comment by Hoddle.
Dives like that in the Euros Kane will be sent off by halftime
Bespoke, listen to Lee (wish I was in dixie) on ESPN or sky pundits generally how biased are they?:)
As a spurs fan happy with the win but that was very harsh on Fulham. Where is he supposed to put his hand??
Well done Tottenham, still better than arsenal
You scraped a win against a side in the bottom 3, got away with having the oppositions goal disallowed and hung on for a 1 nil win. Granted Arsenal are sh** but im not convinced that game proved anything
Still rubbish though. Miles off top four. And WHU.
Tottenham of 5 years ago v Tottenham starting 11 today.
Defense from '16/17 wins hands down - Walker, Rose, Vertonghen and a younger Toby.
3 of the attacking 4 are the same,
Eriksson then - Bale today.
In the engine room, who's Spurs fans preference -
Wanyama+Mousa Dembele or Hojbjerg+Ndombele

Well, we won, and I’m obviously very happy about that. But what a ridiculous decision for Fulham’s goal, which frankly, you couldn’t say they didn’t deserve.
Wish Fulham luck for the rest of the season. You battle hard and deserve to retain your place.
As for us, it’s a lucky day and we keep the pressure on the top 4.
COYS!

Haven’t seen the game but on the stats Spurs seem lucky.
Well, that’s the way to comment on football. Don’t watch the game, just look at the stats and still have your say. Thank you for that great contribution, Paul.
Fulham, Burnley, Marine and Wycombe put to the sword
Great 3 points for Spurs who are back in the hunt for top 4
I am not having that!!! Lucky to get 3 points there. Why o why were we dropping off so much?
Agreed. We were so much better off in the first half playing on the front foot. Why o why we can’t do that for 90 mins is beyond me.
Poch got them doing it, so the buck stops with JM for me. When will he realise attack is our best form of defence? We don’t have the back four to soak up constant pressure.
We got lucky today.

Utterly ridiculous VAR decision to disallow the Fulham goal.
Ball fired straight at him from 2 yds away with his arm by his side.
Fulham were robbed of a point !!!

Robbed of the premier league Bye Bye
The rule is shit... but it was applied correctly. Change the rule - make it the same as defenders and penalties... if it’s in an unnatural position then disallow the goal. If it’s in a natural position, allow it.
Fulham robbed by VAR.
Disgraceful.
Disgraceful.
Fulham are down .Need at least 35 points that's 4 wins.No chance of that.
Never underestimate us. COYW ??????
Goonies? Was that funny in your head? Just about every clubs fans.p who don’t like cheating. Wake up. Rent free.
Amazing that VAR robs Fulhams of a goal but the referees apparently have no problem with Kane diving constantly??
Blah. Blah. Blah ??
Mind the gap mate.
Kane won maybe one dubious freekick tonight, at the end. The rest the ref waved him to get up.
And VAR did nothing wrong today, the current hand ball law is dumb and it’s stung pretty much every team this season.

This handball law is a complete joke... how the hell is Lemina meant to get out of the way...
Shouldn't have been in the way in the first place. That's life.
Not the issue. The rule is there (ridiculous as it is) and should be applied.
Spurs really are shameless. Happy with the win? You're going nowhere this season. Fulham robbed by the single most farcical handball decision you'll ever see.
So was england in 1986.
Spurs are already in a final and have a great chance of winning the Europa league as well as top 4 in the EPL.
Wipe those tears Franny Jeffers. Mind the gap. Lol

The handball rule simply has to be changed. Not in the summer, but now!!
I think you will find the most farcical handball decision was the one AGAINST TOTTENHAM when Newcastle gained a ridiculous penalty earlier in the season..... You have a short memory pal. Probably too short
I can speak for fellow spurs fans and say that we are indeed happy with the win. Have a nice day otherwise. Many thanks.
Except for the handball given to Newcastle for a penalty in the 94th minute v Spurs... and I’d imagine every team in the Prem has a fan than can recall a similar injustice.
Blah. Blah. And more Blah ??
Very happy with the result and the 3 points thanks for asking
Rediculous var rule for fulhams equalizer. If a defender gets hit by the ball they are let off.
That's why loads of penalties have been given when it hits defenders. Stop talking utter tosh. Embarrassing really. Do you even watch football?
Didn't Newcastle get a penalty against Spurs when the ball was headed against Eric Dier's hand? Despite him facing the other way
Ridiculous, disgusting decision. What on earth are the PL referees smoking? Sack all of them. Any average football fan could do a better job refereeing than these clowns.
Harry Kane - blatant dive in the first half. Wasn’t touched and went down holding his shin to cheat a penalty. Var even checked it to confirm there was no contact. I know pretty much every big team has at least one or two culprits but Tottenham fans are you not really embarrassed by this?
Some more than others . But use var , bring referees to touchline to check . Then book them , soon stop it
Kane is a poss future England capt. He’s a blatant cheat. Forget the rest
You most be slow and blind, something I'm sorry for. But, every one in this world who looked at the replay VAR showed us could'nt see anyone even trying to kiss his earflip. But then, who would.
As a Spurs fan, we we're extremely lucky. Fulham should not have had the goal disallowed but take the 3 points and leave quickly by the back door.
Yes they should - it’s harsh... very harsh but the rule is very, very clear. If it hits any part of the arm, accidental or otherwise, and it leads to a goal then it’s a free kick.
Another clueless football supporter....that’s the rule, hence why Fulham’s goal was disallowed ??????????
His arm was by his side, but he moved it away from his body, to direct the ball to a team mate. No Goal, correct decision.
Dont forget how many times it's worked against us.
I would imagine it works out even over the season, unless it's Liverpool, their fans say everything goes against them, from injuries to Var, never happens to other teams!!

Very lucky, I suppose it is our turn for a handball decision to go our way after the Newcastle penalty earlier this season.
We lost points earlier in the season due to the stupid handball laws so I'll take this win in part recompense for it.

Most other sides in the league would love to already be in 1 domestic final with a realistic chance of a top 4 finish and a possible trophy win in Europe.
As a Burnley fan I'll take the West Brom and Fulham results.
But it leaves a bad taste.
Those VAR decisions were a disgrace.
It really is ruining the game
But it leaves a bad taste.

VAR got it right in the Everton game. Don’t let that spoil your rant.
VAR can be awful like in this match but I think the FA need to take some cues from UEFA who use it much quicker and more effectively. Like GO TO THE MONITOR FOR GOD'S SAKE.
The rule is ridiculous but it is there and should be applied evenly. No way should Fulham’s goal be allowed when similar goals are disallowed.
The VAR decision was absolutely correct. Don't blame VAR or the referee. It's the lawmakers who need their collective heads examined
It's not VAR itself, but the way it is being applied. The handball decision would not have been given like that 10 years ago, VAR or not. There were some pretty awful decision being made prior to VAR and some key incidents missed altogether. I thought that VAR was used quite well in the 2018 World Cup. With people like Mike Riley and the poor refereeing standards here we have ended up with this...

I think most Saints fans will be happy with both results tonight and praying for a result against the Blades.
Well done Tottenham, still better than arsenal
Not a dig at Spurs, but how the hell is a player supposed to get his hand out of the way when its whacked at him from a yard away ??? Handball law has gone beyond farcical
We must put tribalism aside on this one. All football fans must join together against this new handball rule which is killing our game!!
Demand the FA change it with immediate effect!!
Demand the FA change it with immediate effect!!
Yeah we know. Eric dier got done the same way v Newcastle earlier in the season. Coys mind the gap
Not only was the ball blasted at him from a yard but his hand was within the silhouette of his body anyway. Probably the worst handball call of all time.
An assist has never and will never be able to be provided with a hand deliberate or not.
A couple of bad handball decisions have gone against us so I guess we were due a lucky one.
Agree to a point but he moved his arm when the ball hit it so looked like he pushed it ,
It's not as if his arm affected the ball in any way, if the ball hadn't hit his arm it would have hit his side. It's the most ridiculous handball decision I have seen in 50 years of watching football.
Fact is that did not have to be given as handball, VAR has robbed Fulham in this case, but they’re playing well now, looks like they can stay up.
I don't think many spurs fan's would disagree...
For sure it's no worse then Diers against Newcastle, but two wrongs don't make a right...
For sure it's no worse then Diers against Newcastle, but two wrongs don't make a right...
I only agree when it’s my team on the wrong end of the decision but when it suits my team I disagree
Ridiculous but that is the law. Last season Spurs had a goal ruled out because a Sheffield United player smashed the ball against Lucas Moura when he was on the ground. Far worse than this case.
Yeah, tell that to Mane who kicked a ball straight at a Spurs player, who could never get out of the way, one minute into a CL final. Resulted in a pen and killed a show piece final before it had started
Whose to say Sours couldn't have gone on to ein the final if such a stupid decision wasn't made ?
Mate, lesson here is it happens to all teams ( except Utd of course )

Mate, lesson here is it happens to all teams ( except Utd of course )
I have been thinking the same since the first minute of the CL final in 2018/19 in Madrid
The sad irony is, if Lemina had his arm in an “unnatural position” away from his body, it would’ve struck his body and fallen to the exact same place. VAR got this one wrong and the ref should’ve taken a peek at the monitor (or used common sense).
Spuds got away with one.
Spuds got away with one.
Do players not get a yellow card for simulation anymore? Asking as a football fan, Kane tried it on by falling to his knees in the area, after a VAR check... no contact, so no penalty given, so surely a yellow has to be for trying to con the ref?
Should they have had a pen, I didn't see it :) was wounded when Dier handball against Newcastle but it's the rule. Many spurs fans on here saying yes I agree but secretly like me they are shouting at tv handball. Var screws everyone at some point unless you're United and get a pen every week or liverpool 2 years ago who got ridiculous decisions every week
Liverpool were denied a pen for similar handball.
Inconsistent application of Rules is ruining footie, aided by VAR.

Yes I agree even as a Spurs fan.Letter of the law no goal but common sense should be.
Rule needs sorting.
Rule needs sorting.
especially when his arm is. by his side in a. natural position. ironicall if it was in an unatural position away from his. body, the. ball would have hit his thigh and the goal would stand. ridiculous rule. why is the rule different for the attacker and the defender.
At least they saw sense when it happened at Liverpool, and Kante had the ball whacked at him from a couple of yards and it was deemed accidental.
As a Spurs fan, I agree with the Referee, clear handball.
I have been a Spurs supporter for over 60 years The way that Spurs were
over run by Fulham in the second half is just becoming par for this lop sided Spurs team. As for the "hand ball" The rule is just about the most farcical of the way that football is being ruined by imbecilic administrators. And their lackies in the studio like Peter Walton agreeing with the decision.

think back to CL final against Liverpool, when the ball was driven at Sissoko arm and penalty awarded, they went on to win the cup!!!
simply put its not?! the attacking team cannot benefit from a handball in the build up, accidental or not. It makes perfect sense.
Is it harsh on the fulham player - yes of course it is as he couldnt do much about it but that doesnt mean the attacking team should benefit from a handball

What a thrilling game of football! Fulham were a tad unlucky but let's not take away the incredible efforts from Everton. Due to this result, I've had to make a few changes to my Premier League predictions for this seasons grand finale, here they are:
1st Everton
2nd Man City
3rd Watford
4th Leicester City
And in relegation:
17th Cardiff City
18th West Brom
19th Liverpool
20th Man Utd

Good to see Bale picking up some form, needs to do it against Top 6 sides though.
I like Parker, real hard working Midfielder back in the day. Classic Chelsea signing too, whereby he warrants the transfer based on his performances but is only a squad player because of their talented squads. Loved him at Newcastle and Spurs too. Just seems like an honest bloke, refreshing. Hope Fulham survive.

Fulham totally robbed there. Deserved at least a point, just hope it doesn't cost them at the end of the season.
The FA must change the handball rule now!
But no, they'll dad about and wait till summer to "review it"
In Formula 1 when they see that a rule isn't working, they sort it and out change it for the next weekend.
For some reason our authorities have to wait till the end of the season to change a rule which everyone can see is killer ng the game!!

What will cost Fulham at the end of the season is their bad start to it. Playing catchup after the first few games makes these decisions all the more infuriating. If the team had got off to a good start with positive results it wouldn't seem to matter so much.
Fulham robbed by VAR.
Disgraceful.
Disgraceful.
Where should he be not getting in the way of the oppositions clearances? His hand was within the silhouette of his body aswell despite being a yard away and having the ball blasted at him, there's no world that should be given as handball.
idiotic and non sensical comment. Troll somewhere else.
I's called DEFENDING Albert . Where was he supposed to put his hands . Or maybe defenders should have their arms amputated. And I am a Spurs supporter!
Just remember that when the team bus flattens you.

You're right of course pal. But, it doesn't sit well. We looked tired tonight.
I mean the rule is also very clear that the keeper can only hold the ball for 6 seconds but VAR didn't award Fulham a free kick when Lloris did it late on because apparently you are allowed to use common sense when it benefits big teams...

You’ve got to feel for Fulham, where are players meant to put their arms? It was by his side so are footballers meant to take their arms off before playing now? Come on VAR & those behind it, get to grips with it before you do, really kill football.
It's nothing to do with VAR, it's the handball rule. Unfortunately for Fulham it also earned Newcastle a point at Spurs.
Killed football already, I been a Spurs fan since 1961 and I can't be bothered watching now.
Ridiculous, disgusting decision. What on earth are the PL referees smoking? Sack all of them. Any average football fan could do a better job refereeing than these clowns.
Well done Tottenham, still better than arsenal
Clem Fandango, I can't hear you!!
I gave up on football when the penalty was given in the Champions Cup Final, awarding Liverpool the cup. That was after Danny Rose was accused of making himself big when lying on the ground in the semi final. Back in the day it was 'hand to ball' or ball to hand' and that seemed to work. Remember the penalty Newcastle got when it hit Dier who was facing the other way. The game is a joke.
Disgraceful refereeing denied Fulham of 3 points again. The authorities need to intervene. Disgusting.
The referee and VAR applied the rules, complain about them. How can you follow a sport without understanding the rules?

I don’t, ask Eric Dier against The Toon
It's crazy, I mean IFAB need to look at this rule. If things get any worse defenders are going to have to come out with their hands tied up.
Wipe those tears.
As a spurs fan happy with the win but that was very harsh on Fulham. Where is he supposed to put his hand??
Not clueless my friend. I have an opinion. Like I said to the gentleman before, the rule is there and the goal was rightly disallowed but it feels a harsh rule at best. That saying, it benefited spurs tonight so swings and roundabouts. I can see why Fulham fans are annoyed. Maybe dont be so hostile.
