Feeble England crumble to 112 all out

England are bowled out for 112 before India reach 99-3 on the first day of the third Test in Ahmedabad.
Vaughan at 16:29:
Jack Leach is getting better and better, he's improving every day

Vaughan at 16:41:
The England players don't seem to be improving.

Is it just me, or was Joe Root's behaviour simply unacceptable to the umpires when two decisions did not go his way? Shocking! I really hope that he is banned from the 4th test to send the correct message about this sort of thing....by the way, I am an England fan!
Absolutely. Total disgrace of player. Can't believe the English are this uncivilized. Should stay home if they are gonna do this while playing in a former colony. They still think they run the world lol Removed

England players have always been badly behaved in the subcontinent. Remember Flintoff showing disrespect to the crowd in Mumbai by taking his shirt off and showing off his hairy torso? Ganguly gave it back in Lords, but England never seem to get the message. Sad.

I've seen some absolute tripe on these HYS threads over the years but this is close to the most inciteful comment I've ever seen.
TBH I'm surprised the BBC have allowed this to stay.
Perhaps you're recovering from an unsuccessful lobotomy as this is the only way a comment like this can be pardoned. Disgraceful.

Oh well, this will be over by first tea on day 3.... the surface will get worse and worse from now on.... and the ball is turning square already on this poorly prepared pitch.
here come the cry babies again, grow up dude, every country prepares conditions to suit its strengths and this pitch doesn't have unpredictable turn. England has played poorly, accept it and get on with it! Removed

Michael Vaughan should be sacked as his job as a cricket commentator for saying we are doomed. We may lose this test match. But to say we are doomed during Englands first innings when we have not bowled yet is not supporting your country

Blame the foreign pitch, blame the foreign umpires. They blame the foreigners and Londoners for not having a job too

When the chips are down and you want something done, and done well, ask a southerner. No surprise that the only two English who turned up were Crawley from Kent and Archer from Sussex

What's the 50/50 going against England's way that Crawley is talking about? Both were correct decisions. If the third umpire took longer the same people might argue that it seemed inconclusive and hence he took longer. Root and co should stop whining and start batting. Drama and theatrics are not gonna win test matches..

India is not as good as they are feared to be of spin bowling, monty panesar and swan beat them comprehensively, remember saqlain mushtaq would mesmerize them in 90 s, present batting unit of india is no match for sehwag, vvs, tendulkar, dravid and ganguly...quality spinners can beat them easily...but leach and go are not good enough....question where do we find quality spinners...

To those who replied to my now 'censored' comment re BBC minority sexual groups propaganda - thank you! So back to cricket, good to see Kohli go at any time, but just before close was a great boost for us. Today will be a tough test and when we bat it will be absorbing to watch our 'top and middle order' against the Indian spinners on a wicket that will turn much more than than the first day. Removed

Cuffed at Cricket by India.
Thrashed at Rugby by Scotland.
Thumped at Football by everyone.

Just what sport are they any good at?
As you are hard of thinking I'll help, it's spelt ENGLAND.

As for thrashed in rugby, hmmm score was within 5 so England got bonus point. You'd think if it was a thrashing then Scotland would have been out of sight but no.
As for football, really? As a Scot you want to gloat about football?
Hahahahaahhahhaah.

The result, whoever wins will be null & void in my eyes.

All these moaners on here about the pitch, the toss, the ball etc etc - boring!! Anyway, lets not forget India batting on same pitch and lets not forget it was a challenge for them too not only England. Please, lets not crib about this and the other. It is what it is for both teams. If you moaners want to agree that Indian batsman are better on a spinning pitch then so be it. End of argument then.

80% of the wickets fell on balls that didn't turn. These brits are such moaners it's laughable. Learn to play spin. Wasted a good toss. I hope the curator at the stadium prepares a good turner for the next and hope India wings the toss on that one. Removed

Missing the point. It’s not the bowling, it’s the pitch. Joe Root is not a 5/8 bowler. Axar is not an 11 wicket bowler. Axar won’t take wickets anywhere else in the world. If you’d paid for tickets for 4 or 5 days you would be fuming. Stop trying to be clever and just agree this is not acceptable for a test match. Yes, England have been well beaten in the last 2 but everyone loses here.

I hope the BCCI are going to reimburse C4. Look India have the better spinners and play spin better than England so the right side is going to win BUT the pitch isn't test match standard. It might be the biggest stadium in the world but it's also the worst wicket.
