For me growth of Heathrow in UK is directly related to growth of UK as a global player and its the symbol of Cosmopolitan culture of London

A smaller Heathrow is the sign of we are becoming inward looking insular nation

I love to see Heathrow again as busiest Airport in the world making London as most happening place in the world again

First class news.

Now let's see if it can be further cut to reduce pollution and reduce noise nuisance.

Certainly the UK Vaccine roll-out reflects a "Golden Age" performance when compared with the EU !!!

> The bbc should do some investigative reporting...

Hahahaha... you're gonna need to explain what "investigative reporting" is to them, first.
I will surfing at Westward Ho this year, my surfboard will be made from recycled polystyrene fish and chip containers that they still sell there. Removed

No, because less air travel is a positive Green trope so it cannot be ascribed to Brexit. Possibly the resultant job losses will be a described as a result of Brexit.

1970s levels are still far too high.

Much more of a crack down on this bad behaviour is needed.

These are the very people that created a local virus into a worldwide pandemic.

However the original comment is correct ... worldwide travel without purpose (which is 90% of travel) ... led to the worst economic disaster since WW2 ... all the so called profits and benefits of the expansion of aviation was pi**ed away in the last 12 months ... and I have no doubt we will do it again ... till the next pandemic which may be even worse as nature is always one step ahead.

Amazing isn't it, they want to ban our wood burning stoves and yet at the same time they want us flying everywhere! I do wish that they would make up their low carbon minds!
Looking forward to going to some great places but not here -

Another day, another HYS with same posters turning up to reply to every post they can make sneering comments on.
If they had meaningful lives they would be living, not lurking around waiting for HYS to open. And more pathetically, going back to posts to see if they provoke response.
No need to reply, I won't read it, had my 10 mins boredom for today

Even funnier is they opine on business, something clearly they know less than zero about.

Off out to enjoy a spring like afternoon.
