Why misfiring McIlroy needs Sunshine State swing

Rory McIlroy missed the cut last week for the first time in 30 PGA Tour events but while underlying statistics suggest a deterioration in form, here's why the Florida-swing offers cause for optimism.
There is so much money in golf for not winning are we surprised when not winning makes a nice career. RM doesn't need to win a major he can play the tours finish around the top ten and with endorsements be made for life. With so many tournaments the 'majors' simply don't mean as much anymore. It's another reason that golf is in decline.
Many amateurs on here seem to be able to analyse and dissect his game and mindset, 'hopeless with his short irons', 'can't putt', 'has pockets full of money and no desire', 'crumbles under pressure'. Only Rory knows what's happening and may not even know why, not too dissimilar to the days we have out on the course. He's played some amazing golf, won majors, has hit a bad patch. He'll bounce back.
