This is an UTTER DISGRACE. India have deliberately prepared a pitch to suit Ashwin’s batting and bowling - it’s worse than the sandpaper and betting scandals of recent years. The superior team, England, are being cheated of victory. All fair minded cricketers recognise that the integrity of the sport is under threat. And are DISGUSTED.

If England can improve their toss-calling skills they’ve every chance. Take a leaf from Kohli; call your own toss with a double-headed coin!
what are you on about. India had lost the last 6 (I think) tosses, whereas England had won theirs.

Third test will be over in seconds....right after the toss.
As in Chennai, there are 2 wickets, one of which is red soil. So it will also depend of which rigged wicket India chose. Removed
Joke of a pitch, cheating umpires and the crowd not social distancing. India are a disgrace. Removed

Thought this thinking had gone out in the last century....sadly not. Did you care to find out about the covid mortality and morbidity figures in India? Hint: much better. Or how strictly they had imposed travel and quarantine restrictions last year, which we are thinking of only now? Or how many 'umpire's call' reviews that went in Eng's favor? But let the facts not come in the way of your bias.

Awful to see all the excuses flying around from English people. Well played India. You showed those public schoolboys how to spin the ball properly. Removed

No doubt, the team with the better spinners won, despite the poor pitch, despite the unbelievable decisions, despite the arrogant petulance from the Indian captain. I am waiting to learn what sanction / fine will be imposed, but I'm not holding my breath.....
Drawing a parallel with previous sanctions for poor on-field behaviour, loss of match fee + 2 match ban would seem about standard....

Agree - Ch 4 presentation was pathetic.
Rishi Persad ....?????
Who ?
This guy floats around attempting to be an expert in horse racing and cricket and heaven knows what else!
At least with Sky - they have PROPER knowledgeable presenters who have all played the game and can therefore talk from a position of sound knowledge.
Persad is an idiot.

Take nothing away from India - they outplayed England in every session.
BUT - what a terrible dirt track they "prepared".
Ripping 90 degrees on Day 2 ... surely the curator has to be reported.
Also - I genuinely hope that Kholi gets a 2 match ban for gesticulating at and haranguing the Umpires. This kind of bullying has got to be stopped immediately. Who the hell does he think he is??

According to an interview with Root last summer, Buttler is a ‘popular character in the dressing room’ translated as, ‘he’s my mate and I’ll give him all the time he wants to score some runs...’ which clearly top trumps being the best keeper and as good as, if not better, batsman.

It seems to me that as an elite sportsman you have to commit wholeheartedly in these difficult times to a particular cause, in this scenario a four match Trst Series....not in ..then out and then shakIng it all about. Juggling team selection due to player demands is not the way forward imho....

Not sure about this rotation thing. You do not win at elite sport by rotating snowflake temperaments and lost in lockdowns, you win by always fielding your strongest side that has focus, determination and desire to win every time.
It's one thing having Covid in lockdown.

Another one, such as yourself, spending it doing you know what

I would also add that if these players e.g. Ali don’t feel they can make that commitment then you don’t select them as part of the touring party....

Thank you CH 4 for your coverage. I really appreciate it... No thanks to Indian cricket for destroying a test series thst could have been a classic.. Umpires should have abandoned after Kohli dismissal on 1st session as was done in the W Indies on an usttisfactory. wicket.. My next viewing will be the summer series..... no more watching Indian garbage Removed
Kohli already has two points on his licence. Two more and he's banned from the next test.

In India...If you win the toss, bat first. Generally you win the game.
Cricket is the only game which you can lose before you have even started.

The England Team visited an Orphanage in Chennai yesterday..
"It's heart breaking to see their little faces with no hope" said Rajesh, aged 6.
Probably not a great joke

There are at least 2 million children on the streets of India with no proof of who they are

They don't exists technically and and are trafficked, murdered and even farmed for body parts

Should everyone boycott playing India until their government takes the lives of it's citizens seriously?

The sweep shot is an idiotic option most of the time. It is fraught with peril. It should be played only by those who are highly skilled at it and only when it is absolutely safe to do so.

I would suggest that players stay away from it and play with a straight bat in front of the wicket towards mid-off and mid-on. Mo Ali showed that you can get on top of the bowlers when you play straight.
