I suspect nightlcubs will be the last thing to re-open.
The Tories are only interested in party donors, such as airlines. Hence them not closing our borders.

Miserable old HYS grouches are rubbing their hands together with glee, at the continued closing of nightclubs.

Some people are joyless grumps.

Why don't they test for STD's at night clubs if they are serious about peoples health Removed

Lateral Flow Tests at nightclub doors simply won't work. It's a daft idea - suggested by someone who clearly hasn't been to a nightclub.

Best to wait until it's actually safe to open these types of venues rather than lumber them with an unworkable "solution".
would be good idea to introduce STD testing too at night clubs Removed

Out of everything in this country that's been affected Nightclubs is about the least important & also one of the highest risk environments. Of course being able to socialise is important so getting cafe's, restaurants & pubs back open is something that needs to be on the agenda, nightclubs however should be the very last thing that opens up.
pubs should stay closed people dance and socialise there Removed

So Boris "suggets" lateral flow tests could enable nightclubs and theatres to reopen, despite the testing pilot in Liverpool picking up 2/3rd of the most infectious cases & only 40% of all cases, far fewer than expected!

Sounds like another "world beater" is on the way!??

The whole point of nightlife is socialising with other people. And that’s the problem. We’re not talking a few old blokes in a pub discussing the dog racing - we’re talking hundreds and thousands in some cases. It’ll never go back to the way it was. People need to accept it I’m afraid.

BJ *never* said nightclubs, he said the night-time economy (The PM said "rapid" lateral flow tests could be used by "those parts of the economy we couldn't get open last year".)

It was (surprise surprise) nightclub boss Michael Kill who specified nightclubs.

Much easier, cheaper and more reliable if everyone who has had their full course of vaccination could just show their vaccine passport with ID at the door.
It'll be a few months before that's realistic for most clubbers, but it's not far off for older theatregoers.

Johnson just makes it up as he goes along. Why should there be an ongoing cost and danger at venues of rapid testing. There should be vaccine passports as Israel seems to be planning domestically and internationally. The individual's choice whether to get jabbed and all of our choice that they do not pose a danger to the rest of us and are excluded from public venues
