The EU is a cumbersome bureaucratic process driven behemoth. It is why we left. It is why we have a massively successful vaccination programme and the EU is raking over the ashes of its failed joint cooperative programme. Short hand for useless and inefficient. Many Europeans will die needlessly as a result of their incompetence. So glad we're out of it.
Successful?

When you look at the EU's actions on NI, ie imposing a hard border I'm amazed that anyone either in NI or the Republic still support them.
They have shown utter contempt for the GFA. They have demonstrated that the EU is a Superstate with no regard for member's views.
Still it takes allsorts.

Worth remembering the Northern Ireland Protocol's objectives.

EU's objective was to create a massively disruptive customs barrier WITHIN the UK in order to damage the UK's economy. This serves to warn other EU states who dare to think of leaving that they too would be crushed.

Republic of Ireland's objective was to make life intolerable in Northern Ireland thereby boosting calls for unification.

Corbyn bombed not because of Brexit but because his threatened expenditure was deemed "unsustainable" by Tories, and nationalising railways struck fear into the Erstwhile-Socialists-of-the-Unlevelled-North
Since then, Leaver-of-Convenience Boris has spent 7 times what Leaver-of-Commitment Corbyn threatened, and nationalised the railways anyway

the number of remoaners suggesting this isnt brexit is risible.

in short brexit was :

* an end to FOM ??
* no more paying in billions to prop up feckless southern eu states ??
* no more interference by the ECJ ??
* no more wasteful CAP with food mountains being dumped on developing nations ??

all delivered, the rest being the inevitable friction in certain areas to be ironed out over time.
In short brexit was:

* Northern Ireland can get stuffed.

Did I need to turn over the 2016 Ballot paper to find out what Brexit really meant?

This might be why I’m thinking the UK was only asked about the EU ....

... unless of course, you are making up now what Brexit meant before the 2016 vote ... bit that would be disingenuous ...

... and I thought UK had a world beating dempcratic process.

The EU displaying all the venom, spite, revenge, bitterness, deceit and pettiness because the UK had the temerity to leave their protectionist racket - something Leavers have been aware of for years, and something over which Remainers are still in denial.

I deny completely and utterly that ALL Leave voters are racist. I have NEVER said that.

But some are, and Leave would never have won without them.

Xenophobia and racism need not be the same thing at all ....

.... but Brexit and the Irish border issue highlights the problems that occur when building walls either through trade or national boundaries .....

.... maybe that is why, the EU looks to break down borders where it can.

Seems a good idea .... and an even better idea post Brexit.

What trouble - who do you want to create trouble with? Take your grievances to the DUP and The Clown, they are the plonkers who created this horlicks. The EU did not ask for nor indeed want Brexit, it was the Little England Brigade who overwhelmingly voted leave. The EU is rightly protecting its Single Market. Cake and eat it springs to mind.

Southern Ireland will be the next country to leave the EU and then the problem will disappear.

The UK & the US are individually Southern Ireland's largest markets. With the EU using Southern Ireland as a stick to beat the UK with little to gain for the Irish, I don't see their membership lasting much longer.

The power of propaganda and its effects on people with low IQ levels.
