This'll be the same Sainsury's where the CEO was caught singing 'We're in the Money!' before announcing a multi-billion £ merger with Asda in 2018? Merger didn't happen, but he trousered a £1.1m bonus anyway. Now, a new business plan, to compete with Aldi. What's he got against Lidl, by the way? Those German supermarkets have been a boon to the stretched consumer. Gut, ja?
