Hi Vikram.....
Sure, but that's a two-way street. That optimism will be very misplaced if India lose those next three matches. Keep in mind that any of Broad, Bairstow and Crawley will improve this England side. Ben Foakes has a century on the sub-continent and is a better keeper than Buttler. Even Moeen Ali with his 180 test wickets might improve the spin options.
India need this XI to improve, England don't.

Sat up in bed with the iPad I woke the wife up half way through Jimmy’s spell.
I didn’t want her to miss it!
She said I’ll be hearing from her lawyer ?????

Make sure you hide the iPad or she'll take it off you!

I bet she was bowled over when you woke your missus up. After England had won , were you so elated that you gave her a bouncer ?
Think about me too hanging on your drainpipe all night waiting for you PO downstairs to watch TV

What's with Sahib lark it's pathetic from someone born in England who supports Liverpool but hates England. Your an embarrassment.

Ignoring the fact that the boss of the BBC is now a right wing Tory Brexiteer (just to address your "identity") - BBC isn't funded to afford sports rights any more & the income it has is under threat. If C4 outbid Sky (which it did) how would the BBC beat that sort of money? C4 covers the cost by upping advertising rates - BBC is on a fixed income. Easy to criticise but no sensible alternatives?
Agree with you about the woke. But TMS is still the finest cricket commentary in the world! In fact I'd even start paying the telly tax again if it meant saving TMS!
And where was the BBC capturing a great British sporting moment that everyone forced to pay for it can share. Nowhere. Absolutely nowhere. All they are interested in is woke issues and woke sport, despite their minority appeal, whilst trousering £3.5bn from the rest of us.

Wait till you play Australia
I get the feeling the some England fans that 'like' cricket don't actually like the game because let's face it, it is god-awful and one of the most boring games ever invented. They like cricket because it is one of the last remaining games England has a chance of winning the odd time.
Hopefully by you. Cheers. :-)

Isn't it fantastic that cricket fans could watch this victory on terrestrial tv without having to fork out £35 a month on a Skysports subscription.Well done Channel 4.

Defund the BBC, its rubbish. Its doesnt cater for me. The Telegraph/Times/Mail/Express/Sun/Facebook told me so, so must be true! They wouldnt campaign against it otherwise, what have they to gain? Well done Root & England, BBC for the Social and Channel 4 for coverage. A bright moment in a bleak midwinter.

We are all talking about Anderson the Bully? Him and his mates Broad and Prior. Big boys eh? Or is it acceptable when they're winning?

I still would've enforced the follow on. One of the reasons being, if they set us a target after following on, that means we would've been batting last and our bowlers will have been rested. Now because we bowled last, as the next test is on Saturday, if we lose the toss and end up bowling first, it's not a long turnaround for these bowlers and fatigue may play a part.
Tactics yesterday spot on. Easy for Warne and others to criticise by he played in the greatest team ever. Our spin bowling is inconsistent and so batting on was the right call. Giving his bowlers 100 overs to bowl India out was the right call. Commentators still querying the decision which is disappointing as Root has been proven to be right. I still make India favourites to win the series.
