From my years in the forces I remember very well the effects PTSD has on trained, supported and generally tough people. There is nothing funny about it. There is no pulling yourself together and just getting on with it.

Considering what I've seen it do to trained professionals, I cannot imagine the effects on unprepared civilians.

So maybe using it as a scare tactic really is crossing the line.

Well it's been a few weeks, and the variant scare is wearing very thin, so I guess it was time to find a new way to scare the more skittish and gullible.

And all you folks out there, don't forget that being born and living eventually leads to death.

As a long time sufferer of severe COPD I can tell you that really gasping for breath can be a frightening experience.

The slightest exertion can bring it on thereby severely limiting what the sufferer is able to do.

He didn't say that there was a conspiracy though did he? The 'New Variant' news wasn't really news in the first place (as its common knowledge that all viruses mutate) and now the penny is dropping that we've been sold a pup. The media now have to find a new item of click-bait.

Ex Sec of State Mike Pompeo said in Jan that "The US Government has reason to believe that several researchers inside the Wuhan Institute of Virology became sick in autumn 2019, before the first identified case of the outbreak, with symptoms consistent with both Covid-19 and common seasonal illness" He said this contradicted reports that none of the staff had contracted Covid-19 or related viruses

The Minutes of the Wuhan Bat Appreciation society - WBA - from October 2019 show that the meeting was not quorate - there being less members present than necessary under the Rules & Regs - all absences attributed variously to "feeling weird" and "excessive arm waving" whilst making "Eek! Eek!" noises. WBA are expected to be relegated from the Prem at end of 20/21 season.

Experiencing the feeling of suffocation and maybe choking, not getting your breath even when you are not exerting yourself can be very traumatic. You literally can feel like "kill me now!" as the feelings are immensely scary and torturous in that moment. Dealing with it and moving on has to come from mental strength and the love you have for the people close to you, that you know love you too. ??

I was in a similar situation and you have described the feelings so well. What helped me immensely was the 6 week ENO Breathe programme. If you know someone who is sufferering alone, please ask them to get in touch breathe@eno.org

Many people will be and are being stressed by Covid, plus the way its been handled.
It doesnt help with all these new forecasts of us all being in some sort of Covid straightjacket for years . How long is years?

BBC Piece on the origins of the pandemic. Including Pangolins as a possible source.

Already pretty much refuted. So lets talk about misinformation.
