This is a mixture of things. if spurs win the league cup which I doubt then will it be considered a good season? Boring tactics, over Reliance on Kane dingle. Inconsistent performances from players. Only a matter of time before Jose goes ape again and gets binned off.

Whats the excuse for the players on the pitch they were pathetic again (and thats being kind if I put what I really thought this comment would be removed) Half that team ain't good enough whatever tactics or formation Jose picks. Time to go jose. Starting games on back foot every match absorbing pressure is hard to watch and asking for trouble. Possession game has totally evaporated which we played under pochettino. The dele alli saga is also a stubborness in mind as dont want to play a 4-2-3-1 system. Your 4-3-3 and tactics are dated.

He's already alienating the likes of Alli and Bale.

People say the players betrayed him and Real Madrid, Chelsea and Man United.

But ask yourself, who is the common denominator?

There's a reason why he's never lasted more than 3 years at a club. He's a failure when it comes to sustaining long term success.

And recently, he's not even achieved much short term success either!

Moroniho’s ego and greed is writing cheques his managerial skills can’t cash. A cycle of behaviour that starts with alienating a player, then the squad, then the fans and finally the hierarchy . Why would he care? He gets his payoff and sails off into the sunset laughing at the latest mugs that were silly enough to fall for it.

The thing with José is I wonder what would happen if he had years and years to develop a team, rather than leaving every 2-3 years. Is it even something he has the patience for? I think Spurs fans could deal with "defensive" football if they're weren't just losing 1-0 all the time.

Surely Levy is part of the problem? It's decisions like the one of appointing him in the first place that have left Spurs with only 1 League Cup in the 20 years under Levy. This is the most barren spell of success the club has had in its history.

Truth is - I think he’s a one trip pony and has no clue how play any differently.

Utd spent a lot of money to win a tin pot trophy under him and the following season it all went wrong when there wasn’t another 200 mil to spend. They also had a very low points tally for the 2nd place finish, as in lucky and other clubs slipped up a lot. Apparently having a massive double squad of internationals and spending 150-200 mil to win the euro tin pot and 2nd was his greatest achievement

I don't know how low the team need to go in the league, but I genuinely hope we get there fast now, get knocked out of all competitions and that becomes the catalyst to have him replaced. If not I don't think anyone can blame players for wanting out in the summer.

Not only is the football we play against the tradition of the club it is now not bearing results. That was the only thing that made it somewhat bearable beforehand. I do think some of the players in the squad are simply not good enough, but the way some players have been frozen out and have been managed by Jose is simply not good enough. This is why they are no longer playing for him.

Ridiculous idea, he is way to proud (some say arrogant) to not care about the results and his place in history. He was clearly a genius but has simply lost his mojo, to suggest a number 2 was the brains behind the whole success is simply crazy. He must be managing a top team now I assume?

I'd say it started in his third season at Chelsea in his 2nd spell, I don't know what happened but he went from being a great manager to a terrible one very quickly and has never recovered and it seems he never will.

I’m not sure if he’s made it past 3 seasons in charge of a club. It’s a telling sign me thinks as to when he’s made his Mark on a team. Starts season three with his players and his tactics and the transition is complete. That and the cheques dry up

If you watched the series on Amazon you will see Dier speaks Portuguese and is just a sycophant.

However this tactic guarantees him a start every week.

So when you have free kick outside the box on the 87th minute guess who gets to take it.... with the inevitable result

In all my years as a fan I've never seen our team as poor as we were tonight

Free kicks that should be making the opposition goalkeeper work regardless of who takes it, especially on wet nights and anything can happen. Dier? Shoots wide and totally wastes any opportunity. These are professional players! Frustrating all round.

I like jose,, but rafa is the man to set a club up from top to bottom, a perfectionist and defensive, he is the best in my opinion, klopp, guardiola and even mourinho don't even come close. Before he left us at the end of his last season our defence was on another level. He gets the best out of any player. All the people knocking Jose, his last job he won the Europa League. Thats what Levy appointed him for, thing is Utd fans will tell you the football was poor. Same at Spurs, hes turned an entertaining forward thinking team into a defensive minded stilted team. Hes lucky theres no fans in the stadium. If he stays players will want to leave, regardless hes ruined the football that Spurs play.

Sometimes, in extraordinary circumstances, especially in this day and age when poor results, combined with negative tactics result in a change in manager, wishing for losses short-term is actually proof of the care and enthusiasm for the long-term prospect of the club, or at worst; to be able to enjoy watching matches.
