One final note ... just WHY in the midst of a pandemic is this AO even happening ?

For all the supposed change at the top I still can't see past the usual 2, Nadal especially has a waltz to the QF's at least, there isn't 1 player in his section who could even put any doubt in his mind.

Evans is probably the toughest player he could play until the QF's but unfortunately his size + style make it near impossible to consistently cope with Nadal's FH topspin spamming for 3-5 sets.

Yep,Dan is a wee bit brash even noisey, yep Dan seems very single minded etc etc but i,ll tell you what,he threw himself into supporting his team 200% and like most of them made Roehampton strangely akin to Wimbledon for sheer enjoyment given the covid circumstances.

You couldn't make it up drawing the two Britons against each other in the first round. Djokovic or Theim for the mens title. Osaka or Barty for the ladies. Williams looks heavy and she no longer can move around the court. Blunt force won't do on the hard court and she will get found out. The monsterous serve is her only weapon and other players like Barty and Osaka are good at returning the ball.

Really tough draw for Grigor getting an unseeded Cilic in the first round. Though Cilic is a shadow of the player he was. Hopefully there will not be any Covid cases disrupting the tournament. Good luck to the Brits.
