EU can stop them by accepting that there can be no border in Ireland, but food supplies have to be let through quickly, checks or no checks. Stuff their single market!
Interesting that you have four down votes for a factually accurate statement. It just shows that the EU Commissioners could eat new born babies in their restaurants and some here would see nothing wrong in it.

The pro-EU Brits remind me of those that were starry-eyed about the Nazis or the USSR. So impressed are they that they will NEVER accept that the EU could do any wrong.
They will never apologise or accept they were wrong, they will just fade into oblivion. Removed

Love the remoaners out on force AGAIN. They hate the fact the EU has exposed themselves that the slightest rattling of their regime (vaccine shambles) they will punish anyone that gets in their way. They don't care about Northern Ireland or the GFA. Anyone still defending this fascist organisation should be up for treason.

Meanwhile in other news.... French, German & Austrian oldies being left out of a highly successful vaccine programme. Go to it UK!

It's based on medical evidence luv. They're not wanting to possibly waste vaccines when others may be better for that age group.
What a truly tragic cheap shot.
Do you know what though , with the amount of new vaccines coming on stream, these countries will catch up with vaccinations. What they won't catch up with is the UK'S "world beating" , tragic unnecessary death toll. Think about that for a few days.

The EU is and forever has been about one thing. Germany trading unfairly with the rest of Europe. It's the same reason we ended up having WW2. Germany exerting too much pressure on Europe economically. They should never have pulled that wall down. The instant they did, Germany sought to dominate Europe all over again, this time via trade and politics.

There was a very good reason that Ireland joined the EU at the same time as the UK
The end game is the EU relax their rules for the UK or Ireland leaves the EU
A united Ireland as part of the EU accessing Europe through a UK tightly bound up in EU restrictions simply doesn't work

If the average Tory voter is 65 and they make up less than 50% of the lectorate then clearly opposition parties will win the next election. However people do need to go and vote - you can get a postal vote if walking to a polling station is too difficult. I know it is easier to just log on and moan about things on HYS or other forums but it has zero impact on a democratic process.

Which country has really, really bad history with Ireland? France? Germany?. No, Britain. Leavers keep pointing out the "Danger" of the EU after the reversed decision to restrict vaccine imports to the UK
1) If the vaccines we were promised, made in the UK, were going to the EU instead, what would we have done?
2) The REASON this action is a danger to us is BECAUSE of Brexit. Now that we don't have an open border, this sort of thing can occur when they try to protect their interests.

During the Cameron-Clegg coalition, Cameron should have held a 5 year Public Consultation on Brexit, then all the Cons would have been spotted. When May's majority collapsed she offered the DUP drongos UK in the Customs union, they rejected it and backed the ERG loonies. UK/EU are reportedly in intensive and constructure talks about the NI protocol. Judging from past performance, chances are then that there will be no meaningful progress until 2025/26 by which time the issue may have resolved itself by reunification with the island declaring itself as a free trade area devoid of intervention or influence by either EU or UK. ??
