Absolutely. It was the English that voted for brexit. The Scots, whose seafood industry is badly hit by this, are paying the price.

"the industry says it does not have enough tanks ready "

Once again a temporary issue which can be readily resolved given a bit of time. Seized on by die hard Remainers as an example of our impending doom.

Every problem has a solution and every problem presents an opportunity.

What a loathsome Cartel, the events of the last week have demonstrated the wisdom of the British people to leave. Thank God !

Erm. The NHS has already had much more than £350m/week added to its budget since 2016. Multiples of that.

Brexit is about many things, but one of them is free trade. It's a shame the EU don't want that.

It is really, really difficult to have sympathy for the fishermen.

Still, that's what happens when every challenge to Brexit was met with 'Project Fear' with no sensible or meaningful discussion.

They've been played I'm afraid.
Sorry but your 100% wrong as our fishermen deserve every sympathy & all the support they can get.

Prior to that obsessive nincompoop Heath handing FULL control of our waters to the Common Market the UK had one of the most efficient fishing industries anywhere now, thank to the EEC & EU it's a mere shadow while EU boats have routinely been allowed to 'rape' our waters without any sanction.

Didn't UK fishermen vote for Brexit, including in Scotland and NI where the majority of the rest of the population voted remain?

They needed to do their homework more diligently before voting.

Sorry, but have little sympathy for stupid people who make decisions which negatively affect the rest of us, and don't benefit themselves either (Cipolla, "The Basic Laws of Human Stupidity" 1976)

The Scottish fishermen never favoured brexit. They’ve been thrown under the red brexit bus by the daily mail readers of southern England
I thought they all wanted independence along with Wee Jimmy Krankie - let them have it and get rid of the moaning Jocks and we can keep all the subsidies that England gives them Removed

Gammon is a racial slur. Stop using it because that would make you a racist. Before you ask, it is a label that targets white people specifically and rules out the concept of being conservative and 'of colour'.

So the hold up seem to be the purification tanks. The simple thing is to make grants available out of the money saved from paying into the EU.
Meanwhile there will be a knock on affect being felt within Europe with a shortfall of shellfish for consumers.
