Kane returns to inspire Spurs win

Harry Kane makes a surprisingly speedy return from injury to solve Tottenham's scoring struggles and pile more misery on West Brom.

Normal service resumes at Spurs with Kane and Son on song. The Baggies had a decent start for 20 minutes then Spurs started to move the ball about. Second half Spurs move through the gears and two goals from the deadly duo and its curtains for West Brom. Allardyce found out again tactically and technically. I fail to see why Spurs got Bale he rarely plays and is always on the bench like a judge!

Mourinho isn't the right manager for Spurs because Spurs aren't what he has had in the past which is an open chequebook and a team with a trophy in them for him to bring out.

Spurs supporters need to forget the notion of getting rid of him because his trademark cast iron contract would see him on full pay for the duration whether he was there or not.

Competing with City is a stretch but we should be closer to them when you look at the points we've dropped from winning positions.

When are fans going to wise up to the man who controls the purse strings but pay himself at least £6m a year. He's done some great deals in the past but wage inflation is something that's going to continually happen he can't control that. Sadly West Brom are on their way back to the Championship. They look one dimensional and were found out today when pace is injected by the likes of Son and Kane. Spurs need to find cover for Kane and Son as without them in the team they are strictly limited in attack. Well done Spurs who are now back in the hunt for a top four.

There are plenty of managers who would love the chance to manage the attack line we have and at our stadium. The only reason Spurs are making headlines under JM, is because we play like West Brom would, against teams like Fulham at home. Anyone who thinks we're better now, than under Poch, is deluded.

West Brom’s Mbaye Diagne has 2 goals disallowed for offside. In fact, in BOTH cases Sanches nudges him into an offside position just as the cross is being made, for Sanches knows that the ultra accurate VAR will bail him out.

Of course, the dimwits in the VAR studio fail to spot this.

Now wait for this new form of gamesmanship to be adopted by other managers and defenders.

Good result. Another chance missed to get bale on. He should have replaced Lamela, I think bale can play in the centre of the 3. I wonder if mourinho would have never played platini, an all time great who never ran anywhere to win the ball back.

If you have watched his other "performances" since his return he strolls around with the ball and does nothing without it. I suspect he knows if he exerts himself, he will suffer muscle injuries. Alternatively, he's no longer interested, but if that was the case he could have simply stayed in Spain. Don't think he should be picked again unless no one else is available.

I keep telling you. He has one tactic and he just keeps using it so the players get used to it and do it better in the long run. He hopes to get enough points using his tried and tested method. He won’t change and cares little about any white noise from fans or media.
It’s the reason he is never kept on after keeping teams up. No one wants to watch that brand of anti-football every week.
