UK holiday boom: Bookings 'coming in thick and fast'

With new hotel quarantine rules for arrivals from abroad, many people are seeking UK holidays instead.

Lack of schooling doesn't make you thick, it makes you more likely to be ignorant, and a clever person who realises they are ignorant can solve that problem for themselves, should they so desire. Mind you given that the same Covid Cultists keep spouting the same ignorant rubbish on here, it is clear not everyone has the desire.

IF this virus is a contagious as they say, and we are ignoring all the rules as they say, and the number of infections are as they say, then there won't be anyone else to catch it by the summer. Then again, the evidence points to very little of what they say being true, they have careers to save & admitting their mistakes is career saving, Scientists or Politicians.

The use of 'gift' as a noun. Argh.
Hasn't "gift" always been a noun? Surely the new trend is "gift" as a verb. As in "your Christmas gifting...."? Removed
The word "Staycation" has been hijacked by the hols industry - just as Rhythm & Blues was hijacked by a bunch of odd warbling people - and "The Labour Party" by the war criminal Blair. My idea of a good time now is to go to the local pub, sit outside with a tinny and howl while my Pooch scratches at the door - then eventually he howls. Removed
