Mc Gregor is very easy to dislike..........His cockiness and arrogance could make anyone puke.
If it was only show for publicity then it might be bearable but the guy is a bully and an egomaniac in real life too.

Regardless like or dislike he is like Ronnie O'sullivan people want to watch him win or maybe lose

Sport needs Mcgregors or it's just another boring eventless fight

He may not be the best person I agree but the sport isn't anything without these characters

Since when did trying to beat someone senseless become a sport. McGregor may well be a champion but that just means he can punch or kick harder. It’s almost equivalent to bear baiting. Try doing what they do outside and you’ll soon be arrested for assault. Never a sport, legalised thuggery

top gesture by (at times a wild thug) conor to offer a wack of your payday to dustins given charity, i guess thats win or lose. Be honest with you once conor was soundly defeated by khabib i kind of put his days of dominating the 150lb division to bed , and thanked him for helping spice up and popularise the ufc for 5 years. He fought best pound for pound BOXER IN THE WORLD and made a fortune

Its part of a tax deductible PR exercise, every rich personality has someone working on how much to pass over to charities in order to gain max publicity while balancing the tax bill. Some of the most vile people out there use/used charity as a shield.

Absolutely idiotic comment. MMA fighters are arguably the fittest all round athletes on the planet. UFC has become mainstream for a reason and they can demand that sort of money because that's what they expect to be able to get from people. For those of you who want to dismiss MMA as "thuggery", these are people who have outstanding discipline, seriously look after their bodies, and educate themselves on nutrition.
They learn multiple disciplines and are rarely inherently bad people.

Now compare this to people who spend decades in an inactive job, destined to pass away from a preventable disease, and it may offer some perspective.

If you know anything about MMA, you can't possibly say that McGregor isn't talented. One of the best ever in his division and if he keeps beating the others in the division and then manages to avenge his loss against Khabib, he is on track to be one of the best P4P fighters ever. Just look at his record, he has consistently beat great fighters.

Will he care? Doubtful, he'll make another £20m off PPV and that's the aim. One more blockbuster and retire, for good this time. Khabib v's McGregor is the Fury v's Joshua of the MMA world. It won't be the best fight, but it excites the casuals, and it's them that bring the £$€ in

Doubt he will school him as Khabib has never been schooled or anywhere close that before. Should definitely make for a good fight though. Not sure it's a fight Khabib will hang around for though. Needs one more fight to get to 30-0 (which is where i think he will look to end his career) and I doubt that will be against Charles.

There's no point of him fighting Khabib again, it wasn't even close and he's not in his league. Conner has to earn his way to the top again by beating all the best below Khabib. Which he can't do hence why he wants a free pass for the big money fight.

McGregor is not one of the greats for being a fighter but for being a character. Same with Tyson Fury in boxing. He gets the big money attention for his character. People aren't interested in watching a featureless slab of muscle. They want to be entertained.

Poor comparison, fury is top of his game and earned the right to the most attention, creating the biggest purses. He's undefeated. The entertainment side is a bonus.
McGregor hasn't seen the top of his game for a good while, he's desperately trying to recreate former glories. The pull with McGregor is the majority wanting to see the villain beaten up.

Seems you're a fan then? Does your group of "outstanding discipline . . ." and all the rest include the huge number of failed drug tests that have happened over the years?

Nobody watches UFC for the athleticism. They watch it for two meatheads beating the tar out of each other. Blood and guts. Don't think too many fans are that bothered about drug tests. This isn't the 100 meters.

Choke hold dies it every time
If it was Saville in his prime against a 7 year old McGregor I'd imagine Saville would try to make it last for as long as he can before finishing all over McGregor's face in the final seconds. Removed

Honestly, what a load of rubbish. You can't even call it a sport. No style, no substance. Just street fighting. How can they demand this amount of money?? Shocking.
