Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea reign gets off to a frustrating start as Wolves secure a point in a drab stalemate at Stamford Bridge.

Update: Reports this morning are that he's OK physically, but mentally he's going to need a lot of help. Hopefully, with the right counselling and support group, they hope he'll be back to normal in 3-6 months.

Always has been a poor player. That's why Kovacic plays poorly when selected together. Sell J and play G everytime. He used to be the worst player ever at CFC but when he plays without J he is brilliant.

Agreed.

Mount, Abraham, James, Pulisic on the bench, Gilmour not even in the squad. Clear signs that he is trying to sideline the pro-Lampard youngsters, and appease the troublemakers who got him sacked like Alonso, Rudiger, Jorginho.

Not even putting Gilmour on the bench, when he has 3 full-backs is quite frankly an offensive slap in the face to the young lad who hasn't put a foot wrong.

Yeah yeah yeah! We know! He is under pressure, but he was only able to see what he has to do after tonight. The draw is sufficient as we didn’t concede, players worked at least but the creativity and final ball were disjointed and slow. Teams will sit right back, we’ve got to work that one out.

Havertz was much brighter today than usual, jorginho ,chilwell and Giroud all played poorly. Give Tuchel time, any mistake to line up is not surprising as he has never watched them play as a team before, i do think he should have subbed on mount earlier however.

Hudson Odoi was the only player that did anything, Wolves back line were aided by having a further 5 wolves players defending the edge of their box at all times.

Is Havertz the new Mikel?
Do Ziyech and Havertz know how to pass forward?

dominant chelsea performance that lacked final third penetration. wolves had some great chances on the counter but in reality set up with no intention of winning the game. already preferring this style of football to lampardball despite the lack of result.

Small squad ravaged by injuries. Always relying on second-half goals last season. Nuno wanted more positivity so switched to flat back 4 instead of back 5. Doherty sold for peanuts as a result. Doing ok till Jiminez fractured skull. No proper replacement, goals dried up, new-look defence under pressure, results poor, confidence ebbed. So a back 5 again tonight, first clean sheet for ages.
