Good to see a pragmatic move on the part of the Irish government.
That is what is needed on the island of Ireland - a dialogue :-)

I feel sorry for fishermen who have literally been "done up like a Kipper" following what the DUP preached which was, "We want brexit, We are in control of Brexit with our supply and confidence arrangement with the unionist and conservative party! Business and Fishing companies do not understand our strategy and need to vote for Brexit so we can take back control." Result is total failure!!!

Thanks to Brexiteers we got our sea back.
The UK will loose 3x as much revenue (27B) than the EU (10B), but well done.
Great advantage. What industry will be frontpage news next week? Nissan?

What he posted is entirely correct.
The DUP were hung out to dry and i for one have zero sympathy.
3 yrs ago Paisley was gloating about how Leo had been 'done over' by the EU and the UK?
You, marie & the other dup apologists were loving it - now Paisley's reduced to making a spectacle of himself, gurning 'what did we do to those members.....'??
He, & the DUP were 'done over'. Bigtime.

I have just completed my first night shift and believe me it was not a pleasant experience. Sadly some of the people I see will not be able to leave their room! Due to the lack of strategy and leadership caused by this government. The highest mortality rate in Europe and still inadequate staff facilities and equipment and we are forbidden from speaking out, but we fight on.

You have to thank the Kingmakers of the DUP Oh how i recall Arlene Nigel and Jeffrey strutting Westminster telling us how influential they were. They were the life blood of the Tories keeping TWO PM's in office. Despite Boris brought over for DUP conference and all the adulation he got Boris stitched North up. But being true British Arlene smiled as for Gammy where is he the Brexit Minister

It's not so long ago Ian - 'no surrender' to the EU - Paisley was gloating that Leo Varadkar had been 'done over' by the EU & UK.

Now he's in W'minster whining ''What did we do to members on those benches over there to be screwed over by this protocol?''

If that isn't karma i don't know what is.

What on earth possesed the DUP to wind up the Gov at Westminster for years then to trust Boris' word?

The naivety beggars belief. ... or maybe they simply could not imagine being dumped?

Not forgetting Moggy (pictured with Paisley) at a NeySayers fundraiser - another so called bosom buddy who deserted them like rats leaving a sinking ship. See poor Poots whinging about the shortage of Gravy - what about the Gravy Train you have all been on since the beginning of this Brexit disaster?

Johnson’s shambolic Brexit deal has betrayed the people of Northern Ireland, the UK fishing industry, the City of London and that’s just for starters.
He boasted there would be no barriers to trade. Tell that to all the importers and exporters who describe the deal as a disaster.
The year of reckoning for Brexit lovers is only just beginning.

The only barriers to trade are the EU acting like spoilt children who can't get their own way. The problems with landing fish wouldn't happen if they were EU fishermen would it. The same fish just caught by someone else. Grow it is a barrier free trade deal you can't accept it. Its over get over it and grow up.

"barriers to trade are the EU acting like spoilt children"

The negotiation has finished. The UK has 'taken back control' of its precious fishing waters and there is a trade deal in place to allow for the free flow of goods from EU to UK and vice versa.

What are you talking about?

The UK thought they could get everything their own way.

Life isn't like that.

Unbelievable Poots demolishing Lewis's comments on food shortages "the emperor with no clothes - but instead of a small boy pointing out he's naked, the whole crowd is pointing it out" The majority in NI, businesses, academia all pointed out to the Neysayers the disaster of Brexit but were totally ignored/insulted . Can they not comprehend that they alone are responsible for this complete mess
I had an email from Amazon today "with an update on how shipping orders from the UK to NI may change". If you believe Amazon, NI is no longer in the UK. Shame they didn't proof read it before sending. The content was disturbing. Like a lot of small online sellers the bureaucracy is too much for me and I will no longer be able to sell to NI. Amazon have told me how to switch NI shipping off.
