At the moment England are a second tier side, playing against a third tier side. It's an exciting game - and that's about it. No point lamenting about Australia or India.

Could someone at the BBC ask Michael Vaughan to stop saying 'kinda' all the time. We had two in the same sentence today!
Or better still get rid. #defunddabbc. Removed

It is unbelievable that sports are allowed when millions are dying with the virus. It's the height of stupidity to put fun before life.

Pardon my ignorance but why was Michael Vaughan saying England needed to play against better teams. Was he talking about the football or rugby teams, he certainly couldn’t be talking about the cricket team. If they were playing better opposition in this game they would have suffered an embarrassing defeat again. Sri Lanka need to play better teams. Why don’t you commentators stop their arrogance.
Vaughan is a has been & irritates me as a commentator as his comments are so irrelevant.

Time to move on & Vaughan is past it.

100% right. eg a lot of people who have read Root is a bad captain, Bairstow can't bat, Foakes has proved he should be test keeper etc.

Read it and repeat it to try to farm a few likes.

Give me Maksi and his wild opinions any day, at least he understands the game
Looking at then and now picture of Lahiru Thirimanne, it looks like he has been using skin lightening cream.

Insane to imagine, but he really does look alot lighter!!

Ok see what you mean and I thought it was the HYS Cricket curse turning us into weird comments ...

Well he is holding bat and helmet in different hands and has a fuller beard too so that may be why ??
It seems Kallis has been spotted at an airport trying to get an early flight back to SA. Removed
This series is meaningless. Most of our best bowlers, Stokes, Anderson , Archer are being rested. Our spinners are still learning, especially Bess. The Convicts will destroy our flimsy top order. Cummins, Hazelwood, Starc and Lyons are the most potent attack in world cricket, especially at home. Root played a great innings against poor bowling. He does not score 100s, since he became Captain. England fully deserve to win but we need to find a couple of obdurate opening bats - how we miss Boycott, Close, Steele, Edrich, Bailey types. One day cricket is the reason. Sympathize with our spinners - don't get enough opportunity in England to bowl on dry wickets in Blighty. Moheen should give a bit more zip in SL.
