Australia remain on top in decisive Test

Australia hold the advantage after a rain-affected second day in the decisive fourth Test against India in Brisbane.
Even if Australia win this match, it will COUNT FOR NOTHING as free their continued DISGRACEFUL CHEATING. Smith and Payne should be banned for life. Removed

Just read on England match that their us chirp by the fielders trying to get under the batsmans skin, but this seems ok? So, whats the difference between chirp and sledging? or is it just whose fielding at the time?? Removed

Chirping is good natured at heart, e.g. good ball that did well to miss it, sledging is vindictive comments to put off batsman - paine 'no one likes you on your team' etc. Is difficult to sometimes see difference esp as rude people just says it's banter to excuse their comments and line between two is not clear!

What is pretty obvious here is the depth in quality Indian players.

What is pretty obvious is how bad Australia are. Struggling to beat a 3rd String Indian 11.

Australia have serious issues. Smith is a disgrace and a cheat. How he got away with removing a batsman's mark is unreal.
SHOULD HAVE BANNED HIM FOR THAT!!

The good news is we’ll get a test series in Australia later this year to show you how far ahead of England Australia really are.
The fact you are distracted (worried) by Smith highlights so much.

As an Englishman, can we stop these offensive comments about cheating? What Warner and Bancroft did, and Smith wasn't vigilant about as captain, was wrong. They've done the time - a 12 month ban from their own Board when the standard ICC penalty was just 4 demerit points as handed out to Atherton, Du Plessis and even Tendulkar. Frankly, I cringe when I read the football terrace vitriol on here.

haha Scaarn. If one tries enough times then we have to get one of the comments reasonably funny? amongst all the rubbish lol
Truth be told you have a cracking series going on over there mate.
May the best team win.
I'm having enough problems with these Lankan openers :)

In their favourite ground, needing to win, up against the Indian third XI and despite their usual gamesmanship and all the rest of it and still the Aussies are struggling. We’ll go through them when we get the chance later this year.
For goodness sake keep this tribal rubbish to yourself. It is getting very boorish. Removed

Thanks for you help tc. I have a world map but right now it is in 1500 pieces. It's a Jigsaw but I should have the answer by the end of this series, if I get busy on it :)
Hope you are well and enjoying all the cricket.

I’d hold off on looking down your nose at British culture until after you’ve righted the incredible inequality the Australian nation continues to impose upon indigenous people. Those in glass houses.....
Care to elaborate? The worst atrocities against aborigines were when Australia was an English colony controlled by English governors. Just like you’ve abused indigenous populations all over the globe as part of your imperial wealth grab. Removed

And now you live on the land once owned by Aboriginals?

Don't worry, I have no problem with that. I do have a problem with self-righteous hypocrisy though.

And your Norman descendants once dispossessed the saxons from their lands. Sanctimonious hypocrisy indeed. These issues are too complex for a site like this. Good Australians are trying to do the right thing to put things right today. But the fact remains it was the British colonial settlers who originally dispossed the aborigines - not the modern Australian nation. Removed
With the Aussies I think alot of it has to do with their convict DNA.
They are bred to cheat.
Whether it is ball tampering or scuffing the pitch they can't help it. It's part of their make up.

Ps Does anyone else get a warm feeling when David Warner gets out cheaply ?

If India are still batting at the close of play tomorrow, then game on with the weather questionable for Tuesday.

One can only beat what is in front of you and India haven’t used injuries as an excuse which is a credit to them.

Many should remember this group of Indian players have been in a bio bubble for 5 months and then treated like peasants by the Aussies. Even if India lose they win!

Yeah, Aussies are on top, fair enough, but the biggest factor in this match is being overlooked.

India are ravaged by injury at unprecedented levels. Ishant, Yadav, Shami, Bumrah, their top 4 quicks all out, their top 2 spinners Ashwin & Jadeja out, then one of the replacement bowlers is injured leaving them short. Oh and they are also without their best player and skipper, some guy named Kohli.

There are 9 news HYS topics still open. Most on CV19 & 1 on Brexit. You just need to find them. But given you think the US election was “fixed”, let’s hope you don’t.
