Remember during the election Boris categorically said his oven ready deal would not create a trade border between N. Ireland and GB?

He wasn't telling the truth was he?

May went on TV and said no British PM would ever do it.

Boris did. He sold the UK union down the river for Brexit.

A more accurate, and less sensationalist, headline would be:

"Tesco reports there had been "limited disruption" to imports of citrus fruit and ready meals" and that "they are confident that they will have the right measures in place to supply Northern Ireland after end of a three month grace period"

Hardly a crisis then?
In your "educated" optnion eh Billy?

Funny how the long term unemployed always seem to know more then leaders of business and industry isnt it?

If I'd known that voting leave would result in minor and temporary disruption to the supply of oranges and ready meals to a few stores, I definitely would have voted remain. This is a complete disaster.

The battle is won, the job is done - what's to get excited about?
Won? What was the 'prize'?
Most of the mouthpieces have disappeared because the EU hung the lying idiot out to dry -
Did the thick brexiteers vote for a new UK border?
UK traders needing customs declarations if they sell to customers elsewhere in the UK?
EU reps in Belfast, Larne & Warrenpoint telling the UK what to check?
I thought the UK had left the EU?

I just saw a whatsapp video of Jim Wells, Carla Lockhart, Ian Paisley etc bumming up Brexit and doing the 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 countdown to FREEDOM. Yet now these are the same people complaining about the effect it is having on food and business. Bunch of morons the lot of them. They have promoted the bed and now the rest of us have to lie in it. The ERG reminds me (but I might be wrong) of those groups of super nationalists that were making the deep hard core of the National Socialists (socialists because they were populists) and the Movimento Sociale Italiano (otherwise called the Fascists).
It is interesting that they pretended so well to be left wing patriots!!

The more the extreme agitators call ordinary people and their more popular parties and beliefs fascists and nazis the less those names are felt as bad at all. Such screaming is neutering the past associations and creating new ones, as in yes like us all, popular!

NI would be better off to trade direct with the Ireland that way it would keep its shelves full of produce. I am surprised Boris hasn't asked Dublin to take NI off his hands and pay a couple of hundred billion for them to do so. NI continues to be the achilles heel of the UK Government. Time for NI to move on and be part of a progressive society that has no bigotry and treats people equally.

I see that ghastly women Katy Hopkins has joined UKIP, well that's them dead in the water in the future. Shame she could not have joined the Conservatives or Farage's new party, they need a replacement for that equally horrible women Anne Widdicombe.

Please name any other sovereign country in the world where customs checks are required when sending goods from one region to another, Melbourne to Sidney perhaps or Oslo to Trondheim, anywhere ???

The DUP are not worried about disruptions to the food supply in N.Ireland, they just want the removal of the sea border as it is an affront to the way of thinking. It is not that the government is in caos, the DUP have been in caos for the last 4 years, let's face it, they have let their own community down big time, played the blame game (aka Mr. Trump!), why don't they just admit they were wrong.

What was dismissed as Project Fear has come to pass. The Uk has been badly let down by an incompetent Prime Minister and negotiating team. Johnson either didn’t read the treaty properly or didn’t understand it. The fisheries minister has admitted that she didn’t read the treaty on Xmas Eve as she was too busy on a Nativity trail. With got 4 more years at least of incompetent government

Just a reminder: it was the EU who insisted on this arrangement. It was not what the UK wanted.
Before the agreement we had a lot of smug stuff about "we don't need to go through the UK to reach Ireland, we can go round". So do it. I see some ferry companies have taken that step already. Very welcome as it means less traffic on UK roads.
So wrong....Good Friday Agreement. Stop spouting shit please Removed
