Leicester go top of the Premier League as goals from Wilfred Ndidi and James Maddison secure victory against Chelsea.

Dear Gareth Southgate and all the London loving media, Mason Mount is not a fantastic player. He is just a standard hard-working Premier League midfielder. James Maddison is far superior.

Mount is great for Chelsea he works hard and never gives up
He’s worth 10 times what Abraham,Hudson Odoi and James give to the team
Maddison is very good

I had wanted to post the same ??

Maddison has outstanding vision and creativity. He's a far more enterprising player.

Yup agree Mount is no more than just a talented hard working player. His England outings have mostly been plain average at best. Even his good buddy Declan Rice is an overall better and more valuable player than him.

In form Maddison playing for in form Leceister. Mount is anything but standard, and still looks good even when Chelsea are off it. He’s a great player and more reliable than Maddison, who is only playing better for this little patch of games. Nor is Maddison as good as Grealish who is a more similar player.

I seem to remember that when Southgate last called Maddison up for England duties, the player excused himself with a fake illness and was found at the local casino. Not an Englnad player for me.

London loving, really did you see the national media hype over the Liverpool Manchester United bore draw, and the same hysteria from the BBC over the FA Cup match, . Watch the amount of time MOD gave to the match and then see if the same amount of time is given to any other goalless draw this season. Just take off your 'northern' hair shirt

MM is a very good player in his own right. Excellent technique, can pick a pass, score a goal & added to that works tirelessly.

Maddison is an entirely different type of player - also excellent. Sits in between the lines, as good as there is on the half turn, quick brain, superb technique.

Both will feature strongly England for a good few years. Unbiased view from a LFC fan.

Maddison has come on in leaps & bounds and is improving still.
But he is still a paler version of Grealish and unfortunately the English national team hasn't got room for them both.

Mason Mount DOES deserve to be a regular starter for CFC, but he SHOULD be playing in the holding MF role.

Let's be honest, he is a grafter, and he DOES put in an exceptional shift, but he is NOT particularly gifted with "class." He puts in a decent free kick or corner (but I've seen Giroud, Pulisic, Kovacic, Ziyech and even Havertz do better), but he is NOT a good dribbler or shooter.

Chelsea just a bit too desperate these days - they're not alone.
Clearly in the habit of throwing £££ at their problems, pinching talent and hoping for the best. Nobody's ever convincing me that Abramovich is a shrewd businessman in the conventional-sense. Mebbe that's the edge that little Leicester have at the moment with the Thais at the helm. Long may it last.

Who ever loses a game ( top 5 ) now drops to fifth or sixth or worse .

Let's hold off the title challenging bit for now.

They are playing good, that's all.

Congrats to L'ster - you guys are amazing with your extremely watchable and well organized brand of football.

Such a breath of fresh air

Even to the most ardent of supporters, Lampard is truly out of his depth.

Against a free-scoring L'ster, you need at least 2 defensive midfielders - the midfield was just so porous.

NOTHING TO SEE HERE, FOLKS

Club with much better players and a manager that knows what he is doing easily beats a mid-table (pride of London???) group of shambolic, overpaid mercenenaries and self-entitled ex-public schoolboy 'head coach' who has spent £200m.

Please move on to another HYS. NOTHING ELSE TO DISCUSS.

Absolute joke again, same tactics by Lampard, passing around for possession stats but no intensity, no intent, lack of direct passes when runs are being made.

I don’t think the players believe in the plan anymore, walking around defeated from the start.

Things need to change.

As a Foxes fan for the last 67 years I think most clubs could learn a thing or two from the Leicester model from the top down. The scouting is brilliant - only trouble is we often end up scouting for the bigger clubs: we take the risk then they cream off the top, But we still manage to improve. I doubt there are any fans who enjoy watching their club more than Foxes fans.

No. Simply because there are other teams playing well this year. Unlike that season when strangely every other team decided to play rubbish all season long.
Wont happen twice.

Unfortunately not, Manchester City are far too strong and will win it this year quite easily. Thanks to Diaz, they've conceded 3 goals in 15 matches, and they're scoring with ease too.

It's great progress for Leicester though, and good to see another side in the mix. The more the meglamania of the Arsenal-Liverpool-Man Utd axis and their destruction of English football is disrupted the better.

BBC - can we have numerous articles and interviews on Leicester like we did when Man U went top the other day??

When is the combined Leicester / Chelsea team 11 article coming out like the Liverpool/ManU one??

Indeed their bias is nauseating. Do they really want everyone to be just Liverpool or Man Utd? It feels like it at times. Football would be so much better off if people supported their local teams like of old.

Actually, back in November with Leicester were on top, they did post several "can they do it again" articles, and the Foxes drifted off a bit. I'd vote for no such articles this time. Stay under the radar...

Because after that performance there wouldn't be any Chelsea players on it, you could just print the Leicester team sheet. In fairness, the Utd Liverpool game was a boring contest, but at least it was a contest. Someone ought to give Chelsea directions to Leicester as I dont think they've turned up yet.

Maybe a "Leicester inspired by ManU" article so they can still somehow credit their favourite team. I'm still perplexed by yesterday's "opportunity lost" article as they sat back and occasionally countered against the scousers.

I think you are massively over reacting and also over estimating the popularity of Leicester.

Other than the 50,000 odd Leicester fans no one would care for that article. Maybe read the athletic if you want specific articles about your team.

All media outlets will write articles people want to read.

Suck it up. Very few people even know where Leicester is

I'm not going to criticise Havertz and instead just ask 1 question, would Chelsea fans be defending a £71m player putting in the same performances at a rival club?

Someone at Chelsea has messed up somewhere, either someone's hugely overrated him or they've paid £71m for a player who still needs a huge amount of developing which is 'Pogba for £89m or £60m rotation players' level of ridiculous.

£200 million spent, 7 players I think brought in. They obviously need time to settle and gel but its still nowhere near what you'd expect from a club of Chelseas standing. Considering the scorn and pressure directed towards Arteta and Solskjaer it does surprise me more doesn't go Lampards way

Chelsea didn't have the best of fortune tonight - one inch from a penalty and one inch from a goal which was given offside. Having said that they didn't have the ability to create many chances against a confident Leicester team . Frank will struggle to get a top 4 finish

I cant remember the last time I have seen Chelsea look so clueless going forward.
It's awful, why keep playing the ball backwards?
At one point in the 2nd half James was steaming forward into the Leicester half, then he stopped, turned around and then ran backwards again and the ball ended up back with Mendy.
Lamps I'm sorry, I am losing the faith.

Absolutely, its like they are scared of losing the ball. There is no guile going forward or hard running anymore like the first 10 games. We press but only a few really believe. If thats the case you sit in and be hard to beat. Played into leicester and cities hands.

Why are you so so upset about Failing Frank? He is already lucky to be in that job after with his record. Look at his %’a v other managers at Chelsea. He’s towards the bottom of the list and spent £250m
