typical Arsenal signing of last 5/6 years no where good enough but stupid money paid ..people should be accountable and named ...shocking recruitment

I thought the owners were fleecing the club and didn’t invest? Make your mind up gooners.
Top defender from all the youth tournaments last year. Next gen best defender, oh how the footballing world makes you look a fool.
You get kicks out of mocking a 19yo who's parents both died while they were out the country?
Typical non-football fan. Runs their mouth off when not knowing anything. Lets hope Saliba is not there mocking your parents funeral. He is now justified to do so.

Am I first ??????
This gets a HYS?
Its BBC wanting to knock Arsenal for anything they can. Even taking advantage of a kid who's parents dies.
They just want trolls to get on board.

Sensible decision to give him game time. The lad will come good
I can imagine this news will send shock waves around the footballing world.
Another players career ruined by joining arsenal.
Who is his agent?????
Something strange going on here . Not sure that we know the full picture. Saliba got rave reviews last season at St Etienne . This season he can’t even get close to our squad, and let’s be honest , we’re not Brazil .
His mind went when both his parents died earlier this year.
Saliba £27m.
Pepe £72m.
Extending Luiz contract.
Waste of space Willian on silly money.
Ozil situation.
Heads should roll on 1 of the above, let alone 5.

They did, Raul Sanllehi.
Actually with regards to Saliba, he has always been “one for the future”. I can’t think of any centre backs that are playing in the premier league at 19.

Mari £8m
Martinelli £8m
Bargains.
You win some, you lose some

It’s because Arteta doesn’t know how to coach him or any defenders!!
Spending all of his time on Willian, he clearly still thinks he make Willian come good!!

To understand why Arsenal (over) paid for Saliba you need look no further than Sanllehi. As head of football he 'convinced' the board to pay £30m to St Etienne - I wonder how much ended up in one of his off-shore accounts. Of course he was just warming up for the Pepe deal!
Heard that he wanted to be with family after the death of his mother, and as a teenager I think it makes sense that they loaned him back to France. Hopefully they have the sense to play him in the future because he's a great talent.
I see lacazette is scoring goals now. I wonder if that will continue once he gets his £300k per week contract. De ja vu abamayeung all over again!
Edu
Well he's not any good is he, hence Saint-Etienne.
Well maybe not good enough to get into the 4th best defence in the league. Maybe rubbish defences like Liverpool will buy him for £70m. Then again £70m defenders let in 7 goals....

Raul saw how desperate Arsenal were and took advantage. Never understood why a complete stranger was given such an important role at the club (probably because he had Barca on his cv). Mislintat saw the chaos at Arsenal and left sharpish!
There needs to be more accountability. The board have been spending and 'backing' managers, but the people they have running the club are useless.

Arsenal seem to be slowly getting it together unlike my mate who is a Gooner.
He wanted 'I Love Arsenal' tattooed on his arm but they ran out of ink with three letters to go! ;-)

It's a joke, grow up.
Good move for the kid to get back close to family after losing both of his parents.
BBC should be ashamed hoping for a HYS that is filled with bile from other clubs fans. Their clubs are.

Only 40 odd comments versus 2k on manure & scousers accusing each other of being the biggest divers. Fact is Arsenal are a mid-table irrelevance and the comment apathy confirms as much.

I was almost 50 when I lost my Dad after a long battle with dementia. Knocked me for six.
Not sure how I'd have coped living in a different country at 19 years of age under the spotlight of a professional football career.
Good luck William and we look forward to seeing you back at the Emirates in time

Moving to a different country alone is hard enough, losing your parents as well must cause incomprehensible pain and stress.

Massive talent, to many armchair fans that watch some youtube videos and forget this is a 19 year old kid thats been through alot of stress.
Getting flung into a team that was struggling and expecting miracles was always a bad idea, good management from Arteta.
In Mari i think Arsenal have found a class CB for the moment anyway along with Gabriel and Holding, well stocked in that area.

You can see why he would be hacked off with Arsenal as they have messed him around so much. No one was going to know that his chances of playing for Saint-Étienne on loan last season would be curtailed by a pandemic but they were certainly wrong stopping him playing in the French Cup Final which was bound to upset him. The way the loan collapsed in August was embarrassing and the final straw!.
How do could someone condemn a troubled young mind that has not even been given a chance?
Kieran Tierney joined last season injured and hardly played regularly, was written off, and today we're all cheering his constant impressive displays.
Let's allow him recover emotionally first. I just pray he does.
