The reason why there are ABUs because there is a case that the other 19 teams in the EPL would not have got that penalty. You could convince otherwise, but evidence of the last 29 years will probably lose your argument (i.e. refs not VAR)
The more suspicious case is the eagerness/desperation for every ref to blow ASAP for Man Utd as opposed to VAR offering a penalty suggestion at a break in play.

All square on points at the top of the league. Man United with 11 players, VAR and the must have penalty prevail. Villa will feel hard done for at least a point. a Good game and end to end football. Referees should be interviewed after games to explain their decisions and justify there actions. United are now more than nuisance value to Liverpool and we need a competitive title race.

Clear penalty and if Villa had been awarded it. I would have been furious with the defender.

Villa's players are consummate actors though. Feining injury/pain when tackled in a rather pathetic attempt at Sportsmanship because they knew it wasn't going their way

Where would Utd be without him? Liverpool got a tough one at southampton and should they drop more points it will be the most open title race in years. Grealish is a good player, but he needs longer socks. Pogba is good as well now he plays at the front instead of at the back where he gives the ball away and they score. When they are defending he can pass the ball to Marcus Rashford and he scores a goal. Pogba is better now and his hair is good.

@kaveh2303 good comment.
I think it’ll be between liverpool and city, unfortunately.
It’s good to see Man Utd play like Man Utd again, they didn’t under any of the other managers since SAF. I don’t think we’re there yet, the defence is too inconsistent but looking better with a fit Bailly.

Premier league are corrupt. How many pens a match? Cavani can strangle players without being punished. Like Leicester, PL driving their story not necessarily a fair reflection of ability. Has the PL taken a step towards the WWE, who cares it’s faked, we want 10-0 games against people, heels and heroes, and “their” champion wins every time?

Well you see, the sport being played here is the UK version of football, where tripping a player up in the box by, well, missing the ball completely and taking a players leg out, results in a penalty kick.

Laughable penalty to United. Not sure what VAR has seen other than Pogba tripping over his own leg. Villa were robbed.

So, ManUre struggling again??
No worries, one of their refs will give them a penalty to get them over the line....and FTR, last time it was checked, there were EIGHT serving Grade 1 referees with season tickets for Old Trafford - just a coincidence, I'm sure(!)
So, let's cut the LiVARpool BS, there is only one team receiving "official" assistance on a regular basis....

You can't blame the referee. If other teams stopped fouling United players in the box, United wouldn't get penalties.

It wasn't a foul, that guy just tripped himself

You must be joking. Did you actually watch this game; or the game against West Brom. The most charitable view of Pogba in this one was that he tripped himself. Me, I think he dive, which is cheating by the way.

really soft penalty and that is the second game in a row United have had a dubious penalty against Villa. I think Pogba kicked himself and you thinking otherwise is bias towards United.. So we can't win here.. I honestly think that to win a penalty it should be so clear and obvious their is nothing to argue about. Not the case here. The game is waaayyyy tooooo soft.
