It is funny that we managed to get the same or slightly better trade deals with countries without the “economic clout” of the EU. The advantage of negotiating trade deals as just the UK is we can tailor them to the UK economy and not 28 different economies who each want to protect their own industries.

Well Farage isn't happy. The remainers aren't happy

What percentage of this country actually wanted Brexit with a deal? Can't be more than 20%.

The most flawed thing about Brexit in my opinion is that the question was wrong. There should have been 3 options on the voting slip (remain/deal/no deal) and we should have had ranked choice voting.

Now we've got an outcome pretty much no-one wanted.
So you would split the leave vote so remain win? Clever aren't you? Idiot! Removed

I have to have a license to fish. The UK should charge the Belgians and French a hefty sum to fish in our waters if that's what they want to do. And pay netting fees for what they catch. That sounds fair to me. We have a natural resource around our coastline. We should benefit from it.

I'm fed up of the quite awful BBC reporting on this, trying to get anyone to say anything bad about a deal that we do not know the precise details of. By all means criticize it (they will) when the details are known. Just fishing (forgive the pun) for negative comments is pathetic. If a deal is done great, let's accept it and look forward with optimism to a relationship with our EU friends!

Whatever the deal is, it is far better than the one that T. May was negotiating.
As always with the BBC it's all negative, never batting for the UK to prosper, thrive and be successful outside of the EU.

As so many of the comments - on all sides of the political spectrum and on both sides of the Brexit argument, are amply demonstrating, there are far too many people who fail to understand that the same pernicious hate that underpins anti-semitism and racism generally, is exactly the same hatred that fuels the political bigotry that is so evident here.
