The food industry says port disruption makes it hard for foreign firms to trust UK exporters post-Brexit.
This is what driving off a cliff looks like. A precursor of the chaos and misery a no deal Brexit will deliver to the British people. We have a dishonest, corrupt and incompetent government

This chaos illustrates why both sides are very keen to strike a deal.
And by both sides I mean France and Germany.

im struggling to find the rascism in that statement?
On the bit about France and Germany controlling the EU, given that they are the two biggest net contributors post Brexit and the otehr countries have to rely on that, do you not think they exert a decent bit of control?

Unlikely, we were, as usual, honest in reporting it, unlike other EU countries, Spain, Italy, Netherlands (eggs), France et al.
Nonsense. The virus has mutated, as all viruses do. Do you think it has only mutated in the UK for some reason? The difference is that here in the UK our scientists have done some research and discovered that they THINK it transmits more easily.
But I do blame Matt Hancock for saying the virus is out of control. A ridiculous thing to say and entirely predictable to cause panic among some.

No they didn't, the existing virus (like all others) merely mutated. The crises are better out in the open than hidden away. Also, we didn't blame China in the first instance so to blame anyone for anything now achieve nothing worthwhile.
Utter rubbish. The British scientific community detected a new strain of the virus and Gov. reported it promptly as should happen under WHO rules.
Not caused it just reported it to everyone as the system requires
Our government has done no such thing. What total garbage you are spouting. This disease originally came out of China and this particular variation is already in several other countries too but their scientists were not good enough or honest enough to declare it. Also, it would seem that there is a distinct possibility that the variant started in the U.S.A. according to other headlines.
A virus from CHINA caused the crisis. The UK has been open an honest about a new varient.
As this latest strain seems to be rife in Kent I think it is no coincidence that Kent is the gateway to Europe regarding ports and the Euro Tunnel. What does that tell us? That it most likely arrived here from Europe. Possibly even France!
I don’t think UK caused a disease, pretty sure it was China. Also we to want to be protected. Due to half a century of EU membership the prevention of flow of goods is akin to a siege. I don’t disagree with the remark of incompetence.
"Your incompetent government caused a disease crisis"
Please don't spread inaccurate and fake information regarding the virus. The UK DID NOT cause a 'Disease Crisis'. it's a virus, it mutates. We saw new strains in the summer from Spain, no one started blaming the Spanish.
Of course, don't let actual science and facts get in the way of your prejudice!

Any time, any place, little snowflake.
No you won't! You will be too weak to do anything without any food. Now where did my parents get their food before we joined Europe. Ahh, I know. From the rest of the world and believe it or not.........the UK.
Oh, look a Brit blaming a foreigner for a problem his nation caused.
Why does every news item degrade into a BREXIT Debate! even when its nothing to do with it -

I guess you are advocating starvation
Starvation! You remoaners are idiots. Eat English apples and pears not foreign grown oranges. Eat produce grown in this country and stop being so picky. Turnips, Swede and Parsnips are grown in abundance but picky people won't eat them. In Cornwall our mild climate means with poly tunnels we can grow anything. We make our own cheeses, wine, pate and have fish a plenty. Buy British.
Removed
Fact: Britain does not have the capacity to grow enough to feed the population of the country. It has nothing to do with people being picky, or substituting one product for another.
Or are you proposing a return to rationing and "digging for victory", given how much you Brextremists love harping on about World War II?
If you think there's an idiot here, look in the mirror and you'll spot one...

It's certainly bad for trust. Why should anyone trust the French who unilaterally closed the border and caused the chaos? With what justification, considering that the new Covid strain is already spreading in the EU? There's another agenda at work ...something to do with trade talks, methinks.
‘You can’t trust British products’ because France unilaterally closed their border in response to a virus strain that is almost certainly in France but which they don’t have the capability to detect. I’m not sure that follows.
I agree that it was caused by a virus which originated in the UK which in many ways mirrors Brexit. But would have to point out that France is just one of the many countries of Europe, and elsewhere, who have done so. It’s just that France is the closest to us and as so much trade goes through Dover the resulting problems are far more obvious. This is why Brexit is such a bad idea.
Project Fear from Remainers. There are no delays at the ports. The pictures of lines of trucks are faked. How do I know - the European Research Group, Donald Trump and Nigel Farage have said so. Everything will be fine after No Deal clean Brexit, when untold prosperity heaves into view.
Kinda proves that you cannot, never could nor ever will trust the French.
This article has nothing to do with what anybody thinks of the French. Why not try writing something relevant or helpful?

As I’ve said previously we need a strategy for more self sufficiency. We have the expertise and resources, look how quickly a Covid vaccine was developed. Let’s get on a war footing and start focusing minds.
A question for the spoons Brexiteers; why does spoons make such a big deal on its menu about the butter being Danish (Lurpak), what's wrong with British butter? Better boycott it (if pubs are ever allowed to reopen) until they become more patriotic.

I've been boycotting them for decades. Must be super patriotic by now. Still can't bring myself to join in the destruction of the UK, by Brexit voters though. So can't be that patriotic I guess :-(

It might have been a better outcome.
We will never know what might have been.

Not sure why my comment about spoons not using British butter was so contraversial it had to be removed. I was simply pointing out how hypocritical Brexiteers are when they talk about using British goods.

Spiteful sour grapes, though
France does no such thing, though it is depressing for some of us that the Petainist, LePen, appears likely to be the next President of France. You brexis, who think that LePen is lovely, and would have happily joined Mosely's blackshirts because they were "true patriots," meanwhile...

100s of truckers stuck on Mway - herded like unwelcome cattle. The UK will not be forgiven for its failure to extend the friendly hand of hospitality to the innocent victims of this chaotic situation. We can & must do better than this. Where the hell are our leaders. We know bregzitters think they're foreigners anyway, but sensible & caring people are shocked & dismayed to see what is happening!
