Sounds a lot like Boris is pursuing a no-deal Brexit at 'any cost' given the cataclysmic impact on this country already.

It's what we deserve for voting in a racist, xenophobic charlatan as PM with a proven track record of dishonesty and corruption. We will all soon be waiting to get rid of this govt and cabinet and re-join for our sanity and the good of our children.

Trade was never even remotely a consideration for most of those who supported Brexit. There were only ever three reasons for voting Leave:
1) Stupidity
2) Racism
3) Both of the above

If we want free trade access to the EU market then we have to pay the price they ask. That's what we 'signed up to' when we left. If we won't 'pay the price' then we won't get the deal. The problem is that Boris knows that 'no deal' will lead to an economic and social catastrophe for the nation. Sadly for him, the EU hold all the cards. We need them more than they need us. That is the fact sadly.
Not much of a negotiation is it ... take it or leave it.
Perhaps you are thinking Labour is negotiating this but I am sorry to inform you, now steady yourself ... Labour lost the election ... by a long way as well.

Except ... the EU is attempting to introduce rules which mean the UK has to upgrade such rules if the EU changes them ... thus anyone NOT trading with the EU is impacted by having to follow EU rules forever even when they don't trade with the EU.

Canada doesn't , Japan Doesn't ... no one else does.

Its a method of inhibiting UK growth and self determination.

So please, stop bending over so easily and back Britain, we are a great nation always have been and always will be....
It is the Brexiteers who are sick. You claim it is surrender.

Have you looked at the US/UK drug deal as leaked last year ?.
Have you examined the UK-Japan deal which gives away UK citizen data ? The EU would never allow that.

WTO terms for two years, then go back to negotiating, and the eu will still demand the UK takes all its orders

It’s nothing to do with taking orders
The U.K. wants access to the single market. The EU is happy to allow this but expects the U.K. to stricken to its rules in order to do so.
They’ve been saying that for the last 4 years.
Why do quitters still struggle to understand this.

The charismatic Boris Johnson, as the archetypal English male (possibly the non-racist reincarnation of Churchill) will deliver our Brexit victoriously and Triumphantly!
