He is a sad comment on British democracy and the decline of a great political party. I have never voted Tory, never will especially after this clown, but I have to acknowledge the honesty and probity of leaders like Heath and Thatcher (who I detested).

Hoswever, both Tory members and voters knew they were voting for a dishonest clown whose only interest was his own career,

Does anyone think that China follows the EU rules on employment, employee rights, even human rights? They breach EU copyright laws all the time, sell fake goods and make thousands of electrical goods that are below EU standards.

Yet by magic the EU has China as its biggest supplier.

Therein nails the EU lie. The playing field is global. It doesn't matter whether the UK is 22 miles or 2,000 miles away in terms of supply. The only difference is movement of Labour to the UK. If the EU are worried about that, they could always stop free movement of Labour.

You’re ignoring:
- it is not a neighbour to the EU.
- They can’t sell everything in the EU.
- It can’t sell things that are below standard, breach copy rights, are fake.
- Importing generates costs, that aren’t generated within the EU.
- Brit importers are/were recently investigated for breaking the law, when importing from China.

For many in the North of England the Brexit referendum was merely a protest vote against David Cameron.

It served its purpose of removing him from office.

Most people in the UK no longer want Brexit. It is time to swallow our pride and stop it now so we can get back to normal.
What complete and utter garbage, How many general elections does it take to get it into thick remoaner heads if you back the remain ticket you lose.
Corbyn only managed to hold May to a hung parliament by promising to respect the referendum up until then he was lagging so far behind he was heading for obscurity even with May producing the most self destructive manifesto in political history

All the polls this year have a significant majority saying Brexit was a bad idea. This is probably because of how the government has negotiated Brexit, and the breaking of the Brexit promises made in the past few years (sunlit uplands, nothing will get worse, etc) that are shown to be lies now. Anyway, much like a car driving for a cliff edge at speed, nothing we can do now, have to drive over.

It needs to grow up and stop being a petulant child .... the world coming together and trading friction less is the only way forward . you only have to look at the areas that voted to leave, this wasn't about economics, but small minded racism.

Fleet footed?

Is Little England not the same nation complaining about Eastern European FoM workers undercutting wages because they worked harder and for less?

Without further details, EU should take walk around the uneconomic areas of the UK:

Whereas, we are still signaling the likelihood of no-deal, almost as though we are afraid to admit we might compromise one jot on anything! Why? What is going on? Respect the 52 and considered opinion are both right.

The problem is the 52 which wrongly suggests that 52% of the whole electorate voted leave.
In fact about 37% voted leave and about 35% voted remain, the rest didn't vote.

What the polls say is that about 37% say leaving was right - so leavers have not changed their minds.

But 50% say it was wrong which is an increase in about 14% from 2016.
So VOTE and stop whining like a petulant child ... and stop assuming everyone who doesn't voice an opinion must support the EU.
