Well done Lee and Matthew. A great way to wind up a pretty miserable for 2020. Well played
I can not remember the last time the PGA Tour gave us that kind of drama.
Absolutely thrilling victory by Yorkshire's finest again, and well done to the King of the European Tour Lee Westwood.
Going back to play station golf is going to be monotonous after this event?
Golf will always be bigger than any one ( or 2 ) players.
Well done to Viktor for another sterling effort.
Bob? Oh dear.

Yet weirdly you feel free to follow it and comment! Lol I'd get a hobby or pastime f I were you.
Weirdly ignorant comment....
Try telling that to Paul Broadhurst and Steve Webster, sons of working class folk from Atherstone a mining town in North Warwickshire. Both went to local comp and learned their trade playing golf with Miners, Hatters, Builders etc. Both have Silver medals in the open, both have won Millions in prize money and Broadhurst still organises the Pro-Am at his lifelong club. Very elitist. Silly comment
Your living in the past, golf is accessible to everybody these days, you can pick up second hand clubs cheaply and for the price of a few pints of beer enjoy a few hours in the countryside, you want to try it sometime.
Well done Matthew Fitzpatrick on winning Lee Westwood for being so consistent and winning the Race to Dubai. Two Englishmen on top.
Just when you think he's falling off the radar back he comes - well done big fella. BTW loving that video where he and others surprise the nurse.
Not all women health care workers are nurses - if it is the same video that I have seen, then the woman concerned is a doctor.
The European Tour is going down the tubes, but remember, you can watch that happening, only if you pay Sky.
Bit harsh, have you nothing nice to say?
The European Tour may not be a strong as it once was. That said, look at the quality of the players still playing on the tour and coming through the ranks e.g. Hatton, Fitzpatrick, Fleetwood, et al.

Precisely how is it going down the tubes? It is so financially and operationally robust that it the other global tour eager to join forces. If it were a mess, they wouldn’t be interested in it

Well done Westie, your longevity is amazing. It must be having a younger woman on your bag - Lol. Also, big congrats to Fitzpatrick for winning the DP World tournament, a quality player on tough courses.
Really pleased an American did not win it - especially Reed.

Reed a bit of a marmite character but he supported the tour by playing here and gave it a good go. I hope he is back next year
Have you met him? I sat behind him on the plane on the way to Crans for the European Masters. Spoke to him for about 15 minutes in the airport baggage area. He signed my Mum's birthday card. Met him several times at the event as well. He's a great bloke but doesn't trust the press, so they always write negative things about it. Try and find out for yourself; he really is a great guy.

Take a bow Lee.
The pride of Nottinghamshire.

Westwood is by far best golfer never to win a Major but is somewhat farcical that he is portrayed as Best in Europe
Nowhere near as good as Monday, who won 7 order of merit titles
Why?
Well done Westwood you can't beat experience
I see that the postman failed yet again to deliver..??
On the contrary, he took time out to deliver a most heart-warming gift to the golf-loving lady doctor on the Covid front line in Dubai. Well done that man.
Well done Matthew Fitzpatrick on winning Lee Westwood for being so consistent and winning the Race to Dubai. Two Englishmen on top.
Your post is offensive and you are a disgrace to keep trolling me on every forum sporting bile and suggesting I am racist. Shame on you.

He couldn't hack it at top level
Never won a pgatour official event
Only 10 yes only 10 Top 10s in Majors

Isn't predictive text brilliant?
Monday was an excellent player but always struggled going down the stretch on Sunday, going head to head against Tuesday.
Pleased for Westy but worried about the strength in depth of the ET if the rest can let a 47 year old win it
It’s not about age it is all about skill and course management as well as technique
The quality of the European tour is very strong when Europeans can win on the PGA ...look at the world top 50 before giving stupid comments ....Mcilory , Rahm , Rose , Hatton , Hovland , Willett, Fleetwood , Garcia are all Europeans are they not , then the new young breed coming through show how strong the tour is .
and yet they continue to kick USA's ass more often than not in the Ryder Cup.
Caucasian as well, how delighted you must be

I have seen what you wrote and would suggest that you made a deliberate and concerted effort to grab some of the shame. Regardless of anyone else's behaviour, you need to own your words, and maybe even think about them before you write.

Just shows how many poor the European golf isprese toy if the likes of Westwood can win it! Yawn fest ???? ?? ??
Amazing as he is a very average putter

It’s been an unusual year and as much as I say well played Westwood I think when the full schedule returns next year I will be surprised if he can win it again
Don't be to sure and that is when we see the tour schedule. Lee is a full European Golfer not like so many of the Brits who live in Florida and call themselves European. The majority of those are there for the money and not the privilege of calling themselves British.
That par 3 17th hole is brutal and what a finish we with Sky were treated to.
Viktor almost bogeyed it. Reed bogeyed it, Canter ( a name I am completely unfamiliar with but hits the ball an absolute mile, and straight ) double bogeyed it, and then along comes our winner Fitzpatrick, who holes a tricky 10 footer to avoid a double bogey too.
I am exhausted after watching this Euro Tour thriller.

It was brilliant to see Westy win the RTD again , I remember his first wins ! Great also , that Euro Tour top three . Sky Sports commentators won't be happy , all they have done all week is to big-up Reed and co . I know they get points from the American owners of Sky , when they kiss the Americans backsides , but remember ,they have lost again , almost as good as the Ryder Cup.
The 1st and 2nd are a tribute to European Golf and England. My condolences to Patrick Reed for leading the race for so long and perhaps now a few more Americans may come and join.

Top bloke Lee! great achievement, now go win yourself a major!

Watching that utter dud MacIntyre slide down the leaderboard for the second Sunday in a row was absolutely brilliant. No Masters for him ha ha!

He definitely wiltered in the company of Captain America.
Been a good day for Bob. He has learned that he is no where near ready for the battles of a Ryder Cup, and despite utter rubbish coming from McGinley and MacDowell, we have learned that he does indeed NOT have the temperament to play at that level.
Viktor is primed and ready?

You love to insult anyone Scottish. Every forum is the same.
Adds to your list of: Robertson Liverpool; Tierney Arsenal; Gilmour Chelsea; McTominay Man Utd; Armstrong Sunderland.... etc etc

Love the sport but the obscene amounts of prize money is a real turn-off. And to have the ultimate reward sanctioned in the UAE is even worse. I'll be full of praise when someone donates their dough to a worthwhile charity. Yes, I know; some of the guys make great efforts; Stenson, Poulter, Tommy, Lee etc
Firstly, how do you know how much any player donates to charity?
And secondly, do you donate all your earnings to charity?

All he needs is a major to round things off, great golfer.

Deserves a major has been unlucky in all of them. Been consistent over a number of years

With the press, once you have a history of any sort, that's all they tend to think about when they look for material to fill up their articles. And unfortunately, Patrick Reed has generated for himself quite a lot of negative history. It's a very difficult impasse to break unless one side is willing to do something to change the situation.
Just wish he wasn't a cheat. Did you see the video of him making (as described by Brooks Koepka) sandcastles in a bunker?
Mcintyre WILL b a superstar. The slagging of here is unreal. Oh yeah he went to America and he s a Scot. GROW UP PEOPLE.
Credit Reed with the guts to test his game everywhere instead of staying home to play long distance darts. He was the class player in this field. Still great that Fitzpatrick chalked up another win, and Westy got back to number one in Europe. Looking forward to the highlights this evening.
If he was a class act of the field he would have won, what did Andrew Coltard say, the the best -13 he's ever seen, so his score wasn't as good as it seem. reed is not a nice guy and what about his shot penalties he's had previously. Dont think he's the most honest of people. I like most golfers, but reed, kuchar and speith are at the bottom of the for me. reed came for the potential $5m!!!!!
Why is the BBC always so grudging about Lee Westwood and his success? He has achieved so much over a long and illustrious career, yet they always seem disappointed when he wins!
They are only interested in the Irish, and Tiger Woods.

The BBC don't like anyone who comes from north of Watford. They will be dismayed as Matt Fitzpatrick comes from Sheffield and Lee like myself is from Worksop. Well done boys!!!!!
It is no doubt a pity that Lee will probably never win a major championship, however, he is an infinitely better player than many major winners.
Very true, Monty never won a major yet is rightly considered a golf legend
Absolutely.
Very unlikely to win a major now but stranger things have happened at sea as the saying goes and I'll be routing for him every time he tees it up.

lee westwood and me have something in common.neither one of us won a major.shame
How about a RTD champion v FedEx Cup Champion - 18 hole matchplay to determine 'unofficial' World Champion (not #1 ranked)?
Don't forget to invite Woods and MclLroy to this shoot out otherwise we won't get an article about a wonderful idea.
Great finish to the golfing season, super on the edge of your seat stuff until the very end. 47 year old Westy with a dodgy back, hope to see him at the Ryder Cup.
Won’t bother watching the snore fest that is the women’s US Open, pales into the laughable compared to the skill on show this morning.
